Australia's biggest problem is that this pitch isn't particularly difficult for batting. For much of Australia's innings they were rattling along at about 5 an over without taking risks, but England did the damage early which put pressure on the middle order not to make mistakes, which they then did. There is no pressure on England here. It is not hard to score runs and Australia have no runs to play with. The NRR is about 3.5 and coming down. Add to that the probability of rain and Duckworth Lewis and I think Australia are more likely to fly to the moon on Sunday than play in the WC Final.

I think it is great for world cricket that India or Australia are not going to win this WC. Indian people will continue supporting cricket because they are good at cricket only and Aussies find it fine as summer sport. England winning the WC will create greater market for cricket in England (which is a big country and can generate interests and money). NZ making it to final is also good.

I agree. We don't need a 6th WC for Oz just yet or a 3rd for India. A first time winner guaranteed if England face 3 more overs.

Statistically these two are the best opening pair on ODI history, by quite a long chalk.
Ignoring pairs who have only appeared together in a small number of games.

STARC being treated like MICK LEWIS. Lol...man. I had to search for Mick Lewis. On paper there is no batting attack as brutal as that of England. Probably among all-time great batting line-up at least on batting pitches.

Out!
That'll shut the crowd up.
Terrible review.

I am off to gym, guys. Hopefully will get to see an English victory. Incidentally, Indian crowd supported Australia in 1987 world cup final. But Australia has mostly been a champion team in my cricket watching days (1991-present) and so I do not support Australia. I support teams that play against Australia with exception of Pakistan & Sri Lanka.

Take your terrorist sympathising to politics or watercooler boards instead of filthing up sports board you coward. It's acceptable to be for anyone but England in sports I reckon. You called me a twat... I'm responding to you. Wanna talk about terrorism, let's talk about the black and tans, the paras, the Loughall Martyrs, Bloody Sunday, etc, etc 🤷♀️
