Lets see she's supposed to be crazy, sadistic, unintentionally funny. Not what I would say fits Kat. Also the character is supposed to be a good fighter AND a lithe gymnast. So physically she doesn't fit. And this was the inspiration for the Character (Paul Dini comes in at about 30sec)... You described Max from 2 broke girls,Kat has the role down. Harley is curvy especially in the video games Er, no. Max from 2 Broke Girls was neither crazy, sadistic, or unintentionally funny(Matter of fact most of the humor came from her retorts). Max was also not really the athletic type. Did you...Actually *watch* 2 Broke Girls? Doesn't sound like it, to be honest.

Harley is curvy especially in the video games Max is sarcastic not sadistic. She's dour, depressive and a buzzkill. 95% of Kat's roles are sarcastic and depressive. It's kinda her wheel house. And even in the video games while a little "curvy" Harley would still be considered lithe, flexible, and gymnastic-type body. Honestly, without your bias towards the actress. Say they wanted to show flashbacks of Harley in her college days competing in a Gymnastic Meet. Could you say that Kat could pull that off without it looking ridiculous? Now, I will give you this. Kat could pull off Poison Ivy. Kat has the kinda pale complexion to pull off Red hair as they go together. Kat physically could pull off the Mother Nature type figure. As she has all the perquisites for a "Mother." When you think of a mother you think Mammary Glands and Birthing Hips. Which she has for days. Ivy has the sardonic/sour/sarcastic attitude with malice that's right in Kat's wheel house. Kat can play serious although her comedic timing is one of her strongest suits. Serious would play against her type slightly, but well within her range.

I think Kat could pull harley off in flashbacks. Ivy is good but Megan Fox might get the role sadly. Could see her as black cat, canary, shadow cat"powergirl and huntress

There is nothing Harley Quinn-like about her character, Ivy is still a stretch but more reachable a comparison. Megan Fox was never in contention for Poison Ivy, she only expressed interest - very different than actually being cast.

Good. I like Elba much more than Smith. Haven’t seen the first Suicide Squad though.

The way I see it is that this is a very messy swap. Lawton is a traditionally white character that was portrayed by Will Smith. That is just fine, but replacing him with Elba seems to highlight maintaining the colour of the actor rather than the quality. Does that make sense? Maybe it is just me. That isn’t to say that Elba wouldn’t be a fantastic addition to the squad - he is an incredible actor (less of a draw but a better actor than Smith in my opinion) who would demand respect in any role. I would love to see them shelve Deadshot for now and bring in Elba as Bronze Tiger. Make him the central character to this new squad starting out with him committing terrible crimes, captured, and recovering from brain washing. He is the atonement character who is the de facto leader of the new squad. They made the character black. What is the point of changing it back to white? This is not an alternate universe story, it's supposed to be the same character portrayed by Wil Smith. Also recasting Harley would be an incredibly stupid movie. They recast Deadshot out of necessity. Margot Robbie is in so deep with Harley Quinn WB made her a producer of Birds of Prey. And if they recast Lex, it will of course be an actor the same age as Eisenberg.
