Funny. I don't remember them doing this when he was accused 25 years ago nor when he went to trial 15 years ago. And don't tell me that the climate back then was different so people didn't have the same reactions, because they did. Pretty much every mainstream comedy movie, comedy show and comedian made fun of his actions and how he looked (yes, he was the Trump of that era). At least with R. Kelly, there have been new kinds of accusations and new people saying them. Nothing said about Michael now is new and there were only 2 accusers in that docuseries. Why am I even comparing these 2 guys? While we don't know anything for sure, it's more likely that Michael was innocent and that R. Kelly is guilty.

What, why? What did he do? What the hell are you rolling your eyes at? I didn't watch that shit, so how would I know? Unless you're referring to those allegations from way back in the 90s? Have they resurfaced or something and made the "SJW's" on social media angry?

OMG... I just watched Leaving Neverland. He's worse than Bill Cosby. What, why? What did he do? He went to Krypton, stole an S cape and returned as 'Super Pedophile'.

Watched parts of the documentary, didn't prove anything, and I'm told there's no proof in the rest of it. In this super sensitive age, people are more likely to believe anyone claiming abuse. I totally believed Jussie Smollett, look how that wound up. I don't automatically believe these two though because of their past actions. They could be telling the truth but will we ever really know?

Dammit, that's one of the best Simpsons episodes!
I can think of a few episodes that are worse that they could stop showing instead (that one about Principal Skinner being an impostor, and that horrible Lady Gaga one for example).

Pulling an episode just brings more attention to it. Just like pulling songs like baby it's cold outside off the radio. It's counter productive because what do people do after it gets pulled? They seek it out and give attention to something old that people haven't thought of in years. They've made an episode from the early 90s relevant again.

Erasing history never erases the fact that it did happen. Nothing has been proven. People are watching this and accepting it as factual, because it is so well told it must be true. Make up your own minds. I'll eat these words if it is ever proven to be true, but until then I remain watching from a distance.

Michael Jackson didn't actually sing the song 'Lisa It's Your Birthday'.

Al Jean: "What saddens me is, if you watch that documentary—which I did, and several of us here did—and you watch that episode, honestly, it looks like the episode was used by Michael Jackson for something other than what we’d intended it. It wasn’t just a comedy to him, it was something that was used as a tool. And I strongly believe that... It’s why I think removing it is appropriate. Though it's one of the most successful things I ever did, pulling it now was the right move. It was part of what he [Jackson] used to groom boys. I really don’t know, and I should be very careful because this is not something I know personally, but as far as what I think, that’s what I think, and that makes me very, very sad."
So Michael would tell kids that he was in a SIMPSONS episode to lure them into his house and watch it? Even though they could watch it at home? Even though him being Michael Jackson was already reason enough for a kid to want to go to his house? Even though Michael used a pseudonym and the producers didn't confirm that it was him doing the voice until a couple of years later?

I believe people should be heard when they admit abuse, but this reeks of exploitation for financial gain to me in my gut. I'm sure that doc was very convincingly well done, maybe too well done?
