Some people have accused me of misquoting Brie Larson's comments so I'll post her exact words here:
"I don’t need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work about A Wrinkle in Time. It wasn’t made for him!"
Does anyone dispute that Brie Larson said that? OK, so we've confirmed that those are Brie Larson's exact words and I haven't misquoted what Brie Larson said.
So if an actor or actress said "I don’t need a 40-year-old black dude to tell me what didn’t work about [insert any movie here]. It wasn’t made for him!", everyone would agree that's a racist comment.
Or if an actor or actress said "I don’t need a 40-year-old Asian dude to tell me what didn’t work about [insert any movie here]. It wasn’t made for him!", everyone would agree that's a racist comment.
So why do people actually have the audacity to defend and support Brie Larson for her racist comments?

Also an exact quote from Brie Larson.
“Am I saying I hate white dudes?” “No, I’m not..."
Hell, she was dating one for six years.
