I dont believe in any religion but I cant imagine God being against gay people. If you aren't talking about the Christian God then you and m-slovak aren't even talking about the same thing anyway. I get it since I come from a Christian family but I never fully understood any religion/faith in general.

I am agnostic btw.

FridayOnElmStreetYour right that God (i.e. The Holy Trinity (Father/Son(Jesus Christ)/Holy Spirit)) loves gay people to as he loves ALL people (although some people don't love God and God won't force people to obey His commandments etc as we all have free will so people can choose to reject Him and his ways (but that's just stupid as rejecting God is rejecting the source of all good)), but sin (especially mortal sin(serious sin)) can't be ignored as sin distances a person from God and can potentially lead one to hell. basically those with the same sex attraction urge are called to be celibate. it's basically their cross they have to bear. I know that won't be easy for those people, and they don't want to hear this, but it can be done with regular prayer etc.

FridayOnElmStreetso basically the usual... it does not suit what you like so you just reject it. but following Jesus Christ is not always easy, but it's the right thing to do as His ways lead to eternal life. gameboyBut saying homosexuality is a sin is simply the truth. it's got nothing to do with being negative towards another person as it's actually a good thing to tell someone what they are doing is wrong instead of being silent and act like it's no big deal, or worse yet, give approval of it. but with that said... people still need to be treated with a basic level of respect and all and that's a good thing they are doing for her as there is no complaint there. Well your basically rejecting Jesus Christ's teachings on homosexuality then. it's got nothing to do with my opinion, but God's truth. there is right and wrong and He determines that. so the only choice you got is whether you accept His teachings and try your best to follow them or take the easy way out and reject them like many in today's world do with immorality everywhere. sin has consequences which are either paid for in this life or in the next in purgatory (assuming one does not end up in hell) before eventually reaching Heaven. it's not that gays can't love others, it's just that having sex with someone of the same sex is a clear cut immoral act. there is no love involved here because with sin there is no good involved. Jesus Christ says this much and that's unchangeable teaching. it's a mortal sin (serious sin) which someone possibly risks going to hell for. also, one of my cousins (well two of them but only one is blood related) is basically gay but I don't support it. I have not disowned him or anything though as I still treat people with a basic level of respect in general regardless of the gay thing or not. also, another way to see the word 'love' is that if someone truly loves someone they want the ultimate good for them which is Heaven. so anything that gets in the way of that needs to be rejected. with that said... I realize that no one is perfect as we all sin on some level but mortal sin (serious sin) needs to be rejected as one can risk hell for those and there is a lot of sexual immorality out there in today's world where people live together without being married or porn etc. but what your hinting at here is to ignore sin and just go with the flow of the world which is often contrary to God's morality. it does not work that way as there is right and wrong and it needs to be said and it's on others whether they accept it or reject it. but rejecting God's ways leads to ones destruction as following His ways, even when they are not always easy, leads to ones happiness in the long term. something like that can't just be swept under the rug like it's no big deal as those who take part in having sex with one of the same sex are just damaging their immortal souls. even if someone does not end up in hell, your not going to like the penalties for those immoral acts as each sin we commit has to be paid for in this life or in the next (purgatory). in the end... only God can judge you but it's in your own interest to avoid having sex with someone of the same sex (along with other immoral things like porn etc). us straight people don't get a free pass either as we still have sexual temptation that we have to reject of which I have been doing a pretty good job of but I can take no credit for it as I know it's solely because of God's grace (which I obtained through praying The Holy Rosary daily) in why I can resist caving into sexual temptations. but sadly, so many people, even Christians neglect prayer as regular prayer is not optional but required if one is going to grow closer to God and resist sin etc. just some thoughts and have a good day
