Was visiting my dad a while ago and we caught the end of this on PBS. Not sure who the guy was, but apparently he's a famous guy (relatively famous anyway) known for living years in the Alaskan wilderness. I'm also not sure when he did this or when the doc was made. The name of the documentary, or, just the name of the guy would be helpful!

Actually, I was still hoping someone might stumble on the specific documentary that I saw. Mind if I keep it open a while longer? I very much appreciate you finding the name, but I still can't track down the name of the doc so I can search for it on TV guide.

Y'know, in case I ever decide to live in the woods.  No. Seriously... My dad wanted to see the beginning of it and I told him then that I would find it on the TV guide and tell him when it was re-airing. At this point, he almost certainly won't remember that, but I still wanted to find it.
