It may be zero hour for Ezra Miller and The Flash.
In an effort to stay on as star of the DC Comics-based movie, Miller has taken it upon himself to write his own script…and enlisted the help of comics author Grant Morrison.
The reason is this: Miller has his own…darker…vision for what the movie should be. But it clashes with what directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have in mind.
It’s a shocking move and if the studio, which is already on the path of fun and light (see Aquaman, Shazam!) but made a deal for Miller and Morrison to do their version regarldess, doesn’t go for it, Miller’s run as hero Barry Allen could be cut short.

Yeah I suppose they'd stop him in his tracks if necessary. Of all the characters right now, I would actually keep Flash fairly lighthearted, for now anyway. It was admittedly refreshing to see a DC character free from all that inner turmoil and whatnot.

I don't think people want to see a darker version of The Flash. I'd prefer it be lighthearted as well.

I don’t think he was bad, but I never was completely sold on him as The Flash. I’m fine with a recasting.
I know he already played Aquaman on Smallville and currently plays Hank Hall on Titans, but I think Alan Ritchson would make a good Flash.

I don't know, Ritchson's voice sounds a but too gruff for Barry I think, also too muscular.

He is a twisted individual with no credibility. Just a tad exaggerated I'd say.

Just kill it. Nobody wants a Flash movie. Not even DC fans. Says you. He's the one DC character I'm surprised they hadn't done one yet.

I hope some rapprochement can be reached between Ezra Miller and DC/Warner Bros. While I'm well aware that Justice League was not exactly popular (as many on these boards can attest), it had things in it I liked--and the main one was Ezra Miller's Flash.

But it’s sounding more like he’s getting cold feet and wants an out. Without actually saying so.

Honestly i could see Alan as Venom or after seeing him in titans capt or us agent. As far as Smallville alumni go Justin Hartley would kill it as barry allen imo

Well, that sucks. I actually like him as Barry Allen/The Flash in the Justice League.

This is interesting since Grant Morrison wrote a very well received run of the Flash comic book. It wasn't "dark" though.
