How long will it take Disney to get back 71 billion dollars from the fox properties? seems like a lot of money Dunno, but I doubt they just shelled out all that money themselves, so there's no hurry. There was almost certainly some financing going on, maybe some outside investors as well. Dunno how long whatever loan they took out it is going to be for, but I know mortgages are generally 30 years, so they have plenty of time to pay back whatever they owe. That is if they don't infect the Fox properties with SJW crap.

I feel like one day Disney is going to implode on itself. Give it some time. It's going to happen eventually. Disney doesn't know when to quit. What Disney is doing is WRONG. They're trying to get rid of all of the competition, destroying artistic creativity, and making room for totalitarianism in the media. That's why it's extremely important to stop giving them money under any circumstances. Tell that to the people across the world that will spend 2 billion dollars alone on Avengers Endgame.

this happened in the wrestling world when WWE took over WCW the quality of the show as dropped ever since because they have no competition See what I mean?! ^ This is why competition is good for business and helps encourage hard work and good quality. Without competition, there are risks of complacency, laziness, etc. Disney can do whatever it wants knowing many other studios don't have much of a chance against it.

The worst part of it is Disney has a poor record on releasing archival material so that means old FOX stuff that isn't SJW-enough for Disney's executives will probably be left in the vault. I guess True Lies and The Abyss now will truly never see the light of day on Blu-ray. Plus, Disney now pretty much owns all of James Cameron's filmography outside of the Terminator films and Piranha II.

Disney doesn't have to rely on Fox films for the return on investment. It has Star Wars, its unnecessary live-action remakes of animated films, etc. to pull in the dough to help get back money. Don't forget the extensive merchandising, syndication deals, etc.

I believe Disney did release TREASURE ISLAND in HD-but what about ROB ROY THE HIGHLAND ROGUE and some of the other live action films supervised by Walt Disney.

That's why is extremely important for Warner Bros., Universal, Lionsgate, Paramount, and other movie studios who don't have any affiliation with Disney to not allow that company to buy them out and suck the life out of their businesses.

SMH. Those poor people. We're already living in a bad economy where people are struggling to find work. But this is BEYOND AWFUL. Many people have lost their jobs all because the Mouse Company wants complete and absolute control over the entire media! And some people think that this deal is a good thing???!!!

At least the Fox banner will still be displayed on all Fox movies so that is some good news.
