Wow. It is official. The rumours of Deathstroke coming to 'Titans' next season are true and they have announced the actor who is going to play him. I am quite surprised over this news after they blocked the writers of 'Arrow' from using the character just when they brought him back last season and I wonder if they are just making an exception 'cause it is on the 'DC Universe' or their plans for him in the movies are over? What are your thoughts and are any of you familiar with the actor?

The Titans will be facing a big threat next season.
DC's Titans will be showcasing a new villain in season two, the formidable Deathstroke aka Slade Wilson.
The fan-favourite bad guy will be played by actor Esai Morales, who is best known for his roles in NYPD Blue, Caprica and Ozark.
The show's official character bio for Deathstroke reads: “Slade Wilson is known for being DC’s deadliest assassin. While serving his country, Slade became an elite soldier before government testing enhanced his physiology to near superhuman levels, putting him on a path of darkness and revenge.

"To his family, Slade is a father and husband, but to the rest of the world, he is feared by many as the infamous Deathstroke; selling his services to the highest bidder as the ruthless assassin that never gives up and never misses.”
The character has previously been portrayed by Manu Bennett on The CW's Arrow and by Joe Manganiello in Justice League. Manganiello was supposed to be getting a standalone movie as the villain, but it appears that isn't happening anymore.
The character also appears in the Teen Titans animated series where he is voiced by Ron Perlman and simply goes by 'Slade'.

Titans season two will also see the introduction of Superboy, who will be played by Australian actor Joshua Orpin.
The character, who also goes by the name Connor Kent, is a clone made from the DNA of Superman and his arch nemesis Lex Luthor.
He is described as an "angsty teenager of steel searching for purpose and the truth about his past".
Titans airs on the DC Universe streaming service in the US, and on Netflix in the UK.
