I prefer Dean Martin. Jerry Lewis (along with the Ed Sullivan estate) gave me a copyright strike on my YouTube account...even though the thing I uploaded is public domain,

Dino.
Sarris wrote, "Martin and Lewis, at their best--and that means not in any of their movies..."
A bit snippy, to be sure, but mostly accurate. I am too young to have seen Martin and Lewis live, but their best work seems not to have been in their movies. Nevertheless, Artists and Models and Hollywood or Bust are funny movies, particularly the latter (in which, ironically, Dean and Jerry were so angry with one another didn't speak to each other when off-camera).
As far as Jerry's solo career goes, I'm wildly fond, for whatever reason, of The Nutty Professor. I just have a low sense of humor, I guess.
Besides that? I find Dino's work to be far superior. I like his singing, his persona, and his comedy. Yes, he was the "straight man" in Martin & Lewis, but I find him funnier, on the television show, than Jerry was in any of their team-ups.
He could also act, truly act (prime example: Hawks's superb Rio Bravo).
No offense to Jerry, whom I respect and at whose humor I do laugh, but I'm going with the King of Cool for this one.

I always wanted to hang out with Dean Martin over Frank Sinatra. He seemed more real and down to earth, always enjoyable to watch on the screen. And I agree with Salzmank, he looked like a screen-star and could act when given a good script.

I don't know, but I prefer Dean Martin over Jerry Lewis.
Lewis looks like such a sour-faced bastard.
