What do you think will be the opening weekend total, domestic total, and worldwide total? Any way this out grosses Infinity War?

Definitely over 2 billion . The real question is will it make enough to make James Cameron sweat ? lol In all seriousness, I do honestly think Endgame is the one tent pole film that could get somewhat close to Avatar's global box office . And if Endgame can't get it done, I don't see a film coming out for the foreseeable future thats gonna top Avatar ....maybe Avatar 2 perhaps??? Who knows

I took the same day-to-day progress as Infinity War's box-office, but I just switched out the opening weekend (initial value) of 257 million with 280 million, which it's currently tracking to open with. Then I get these values (in US dollars):
Domestic opening: 280 million Worldwide opening: 800 - 920 million (including China)
Domestic total: 735 million Worldwide total: 2.2 billion (2nd highest-grossing movie ever)
If these predictions come true it would of course be unbelievable with a record-breaking opening weekend, but unless we get a near 1 billion dollar worldwide opening, I still think Avatar is relatively comfortable in defending its #1 position. If Endgame wants to have a shot it would need to have extreme longetivity, which is a lot more difficult in April/May/June compared to Avatar's December/January/February release. And the fact that IW is 3 hours long also means that you simply can't show it as much as you'd be able to show a 2 hour movie (which isn't taken into account in above's calculations). Whatever amount of money it makes, it will be impressive, but if you ask me now I don't think it'll dethrone Avatar. If it doesn't, it'll be another reminder how unbelievable Avatar's box-office numbers are. TFA & IW have tried, but tbh no movie since Avatar has even come close to that 2.7 billion value.

Itโs interesting that everyone seems to think itโll surpass Infinity War. Not too long ago, people were saying it was a long shot to repeat that kind of success.
Did the marketing change perspective on this or was it being underestimated all along?

That is insane . Also , China has expanded big time and they will be eating the sequel up. Its gonna be YUUUUGE!

I'm wondering if Endgame's box office is going to take a noticable dip tonight, when a good chunk of the US audience stays home to watch the big battle episode of Game Of Thrones as it airs.
