The first one is my favorite by far. A fairly realistic story (compared to later editions), and concentrated on actual street racing (even if their quarter miles were dragged out to miles)... Wish it would go back to this format but it's in hyper Bond territory now. I think XXX was supposed to be what F&F became.
I actually like Tokyo Drift next due to it sticking to a form of racing (drifting) and another sort of realistic story. Of course, the main character was no Vin Diesel or Paul Walker but he was okay. I do like how they tied in the whole Han story to the rest of the series later on.
The rest of the films are good but I don't really have a particular order. My least favorite is probably 2 Fast 2 Furious. I don't care much for the Walker/Tyrese team up.
