Pop up ads for something that you just bought from the company you just bought it from. "Oh, you just bought a toaster from us ? Well then, here's another one for you to buy from us."

People who ask questions with no intention of ever listening to the answers. I was recently discussing this with someone. Listening is a skill that a lot of people just don't have, even if they ask a question. They appear to be listening but you can tell that they're just thinking of what to say next.

Then there's the folks who post a "question" on line and then apparently never return to read the replies. Hard to tell for sure BUT they don't respond to the posts. It's like the whole purpose is to just put "questions" out there and not participate any further.
RE: thinking of what to say next ... I have a brother who is a chronic punner …. you can see his eyes sort of glaze over when someone is talking to him and you KNOW he is just waiting for a lull so he can pun at them. argh!

Rats! They don't have any use in the circle of life, they are just there to spite us.
Apps! they don't solve anything, they only create a un-needed dependancy. Not always though. But an app can never snow shovel.
Well payed strategists, that only harms service. "to further our service, we close all our local offices". When the hell did that become more and better service?

Apologies for not always responding to the posts in my threads that I start on the Classic Film board, BATouttaheck. It in no way means I’m not reading other people’s responses. It’s quite the opposite. I read every one of them and greatly appreciate all the replies to my threads. It’s just that oftentimes people have replied with movies that I’ve never seen nor heard of and I’m not quite sure what I can say in response other than, “Those look like interesting movies. I’ll have to check them out.” (which would get rather repetitive if I posted that all the time). I enjoy reading all the replies and the discussions that they bring up, even if I’m not really able to participate in them much.

Heck, Chalice_Of_Evil ... You are not one of the "ask a question that seems to want to start a discussion and then never be seen in the thread again" folks. Agree totally about repeated “Those look like interesting movies. I’ll have to check them out.” type replies. Gotta do responses the way that works for you and imo, you're doin' fine !

Heck, Chalice_Of_Evil ... You are not one of the "ask a question that seems to want to start a discussion and then never be seen in the thread again" folks. If they start a decent conversation, it seems like mission accomplished to me. What do you care if the OP doesn't answer his/her own question or participates in the discussion? No credit for actually starting it?

One thing that I always thought was pretty useless was that little piece of green parsley garnish they'd put on your plate, at a restaurant. I don't think anybody really eats that, do they?
That being said, I'd kinda' miss seeing it if it wasn't there. It's just one of those things that fills up the picture, so to speak.

I agree with you.
Though I like this character who thought differently.

Daylight Savings just ended here Admin. What is it about Daylight Savings you don't like? Is it 'cause you lose an hour or you don't like it staying light in the night 'cause I am not a fan of losing an hour either but I don't mind it staying light later. Did you know Daylight Savings was actually extended here in New South Wales and goes four weeks longer than it used to?

I said it's useless, but I like it when it gets dark earlier.
