In MADEMOISELLE DE JONCQUIERES (LADY J), the only thing that's good from beginning to end is Cécile de France's performance as a rich widow who wants to get back at the marquis who broke her heart by tricking him into falling in love with a young woman, without letting him know certain details about her personal life. I'm sure you can figure out that the truth eventually comes out, but it would be a true spoiler to reveal how it comes out. Without getting into details, the last 25 minutes of the movie are quite enjoyable. The characters' actions and lines are intriguing and the camera work helps highlight the drama. Too bad that in the previous 85 minutes Emmanuel Mouret's writing and directing are very stale. 4/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.

Sounds interesting. I'll look out for it, thanks. I do like Cecile De France.
