No idea but I do know I prefer chips (as in fish and chips) to French Fries.

I think this is a no-brainer. It's the U.S. France and Belgium invented them I suppose. But the American fast food industry has perfected them in the form most people prefer today. Most people or most Americans? I prefer chips to shoestring fries - AKA French fries.

Most people or most Americans? I prefer chips to shoestring fries - AKA French fries. Most people. McDonald's has exported the greasy stringy french fry allover the world. "French fry" is actually an American term anyway. That doesn't mean they're the most liked... That just means that's all McDonald's offers. KFC does much nicer chips... At least in Australia.

Belgium has no votes because none of you have ever been there. lol Last time I ate some fast food in Belgium, my body did not like it. It was at Quick. I wasnt surprised that some years later someone died after eating there. I never heard anyone having a good eating experience at those places. But, Belgium does have good fries.

Just to be clear--I've never had poutine, but it looks like one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen that people eat.

Just to be clear--I've never had poutine, but it looks like one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen that people eat. It's the perfect mix.
You need fries like in the picture, big, not too firm and not too soft and greasy. The cheese curds and the gravy. You let the cheese melt a bit and it's heaven.
La Banquise has some good ones and a nice selection too:
People are lining up outside day and night:
You visit Montréal, you need to get Poutine from them.

And peanut sauce and raw onions. I like peanuts and raw onions, but not necessarily together...
