No idea but I do know I prefer chips (as in fish and chips) to French Fries. Chips with a sprinkle of vinegar? But it's gotta be Malt vinegar not cider vinegar or wine vinegar or white vinegar and it's got to be looked for as it's not the usual readily available USA type vinegar.

It's in Europa... ON Europa. No, in. "Europa" is a purposeful misspelling of "Europe". And France is in Europe. Also, if I actually were referring to the moon, then "Fance" would be beneath the ice, in the ocean. If it were on the ice, I'd have said "on".

Just to be clear--I've never had poutine, but it looks like one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen that people eat. It's the perfect mix. You need fries like in the picture, big, not too firm and not too soft and greasy. The cheese curds and the gravy. You let the cheese melt a bit and it's heaven. La Banquise has some good ones and a nice selection too: People are lining up outside day and night: You visit Montréal, you need to get Poutine from them.
Yeah, and casu marzu is a delicacy in Sardinia.

These are by far the best fries I ever had. You can get them at a place called LongHorn Steakhouse.

Are you serious...?
It's potatoes and oil. As long as you have good quality ingredients and know how to cook, what the hell does what country they are made in make any difference? It's totally irrelevant.

I think this is a no-brainer. It's the U.S. France and Belgium invented them I suppose. But the American fast food industry has perfected them in the form most people prefer today. Most people or most Americans? I prefer chips to shoestring fries - AKA French fries. In Australia, Muslim restaurants sell a thing called "Halal Snack Pack" which is fries+cheese+donner kebab with sauce of your preferred taste. I really liked that a lot. Not sure if such places are where you reside but I found them all over Melbourne.

Even I was a bit surprised by popularity of HSP in Australia. I even found an entry for it on wikipedia.
The halal snack pack originated in Australia as a culinary fusion of Middle-Eastern and European cuisines. According to some, snack packs date back at least to the 1980s.[5] They have since become a quintessential Australian dish. The snack pack is traditionally served in a styrofoam container, and has been described as a staple takeaway dish of kebab shops in Australia.[2][3]

It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it would ever top my list of culinary favourites... Most of my top positions are filled with American, British and European dishes.

I've been to Burger King in Antwerp, fries tasted the same as always. However, McDonald's in France seemed above average.
France wins! 🇫🇷

Home made in an Air Fryer ….
Sweet Potato Fries are the absolute best but those made from fresh white potatoes are superior to any store bought frozen or restaurant fries.

But are they really french fries if they aren't cooked in oil? (And is a taco a sandwich?) Are you serious...? It's potatoes and oil. Recipe book that comes with machine calls them that.... would they lie ? They are cooked with oil .. just a tablespoon or so …. not deep fat fried but...… yes.
They are better tasting, better textured and healthier to boot.
