I actually thought it’d do better than $60 million last night...
What an absolute failure this is!

So it looks to be at $365 million worldwide already.
It made the opening day record in the UK by a significant amount too.
"After opening in 25 material markets on Wednesday, the film added another 21 yesterday, which included a $15.3 million launch in the UK, the largest single day in the market ever and +86% higher than Avengers: Infinity War's opening day in the market."

We know it broke China. It broke the opening day record in Phillipines with $3,880,685. I thought I read that it is the highest opening day in India too but I can't find it.

Wow, much bigger than anyone thought. Do you remember 2012? It blew everyone away. The studio kept upping the estimate. BoM July 2011 April 25, 2012 April 27, 2012 May 2, 2012 May 3, 2012 Up from that $150 mill open estimate. May 5, 2012? It might make $200 mill open. Don't you remember the analysis-suggestions The Avengers sucked up all the money so all the other films did worse that summer. Theaters scrambled to add showings. This time some of the AMC & Regal theater are open 24 hours to get through the demand. Marvel knows what they are doing. Just give them your money for that ticket now.

The only thing that everyone was worried about was how would the 3 hour runtime hurt it. And it's not like they started showtimes earlier to get around that. It did break the Thursday preview record, but barely. That's why I can safely say this a a huge surprise. On top of that it's not like it's going to make 305 million and barely pass the 300 mark, it's esmiated it could as high as 330 million or higher. I don't think this will ever be broken. Not even when they make another Avengers movie with the X-men and Fantastic Four.

Updated predictions with a 300 million dollar opening weekend (again taking the same box-office day-to-day losses as Infinity War). For WW opening, take into account that IW didn't have a simultaneous China release, do the 'actual' record to beat is about 840 M instead of 640 M if you include China. Still, Endgame will beat that easily:
300 M Opening Weekend
Opening Weekend (DOM): 300 M (#1) Opening Weekend (WW): 905 M (#1) Total (DOM): 790 M (#2) Total (WOW): 2.385 B (#2)
330 M Opening Weekend
Opening Weekend (DOM): 330 M (#1) Opening Weekend (WW): 995 M (#1) Total (DOM): 869 M (#2) Total (WOW): 2.623 B (#2)
The 330 M opening weekend comes closer to Avatar's 2.78 B value, but I still think Avatar won't be defeated. Anyways, it will still be an unbelievable box-office run and many/most other records will be broken. Just the fact that we might get a worldwide box-office weekend close to or maybe even over 1 billion dollars is incredible.
Edit: if the opening weekend turns out to be closer to 350 M than 330 M, I'd reconsider my statement. In that case I think it'll be a very close race with Avatar. The performance of Endgame is unbelievable so far.

Deadline are saying a $157 million opening day....
"And with a snap, Avengers: Endgame is swelling, just as expected. Industry estimates tonight see $157M for Friday (including $60M record previews), which is $37.9M more than Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ opening and single day record of $119.1M. And as for the weekend, right now the average is around $349M off the widest theatrical release ever of 4,662. Saturday is expected to ease between -30% and -35% for a take between $102M-$109M.
Consider that amount of money for a minute – $349M. That’s a total that many studios hope their tentpoles generate in their domestic lifetime. It’s an amount of cash that’s close to $100m higher than the record opening of Avengers: Infinity War! (at this point in time Endgame is $91.3M higher). It’s an opening that’s $101M higher than Force Awakens’ $247.96M start."
It'd be making the record by close to $100 million.
A movie hasn't smashed an opening weekend record that badly since.... probably ever, I was thinking things like Batman 89 and Lost World but even then that's not nearly tot he same extent.

Box Mojo is putting the Friday estimate at $156.7 million which is a opening day record. Practically destroyed The Force Awakens $119.1 million.
It's now at a point that the opening day record has almost made as much as The Dark Knights opening weekend record.
The Worldwide total is already $643 million.

What they said is that with only money counted until Friday, Endgame already beat The Fate of the Furious and Infinity War for the records of International and Global openings. Remember, this is without Saturday and Sunday box office numbers and A:E already broke those records.

That Friday total is absolutely insane. What the fuck happened for that to even be possible? Holy shit. Record Break amount of Theaters Showing it. I think it's 4,662 theaters are showing domestically. Plus everyone wants to see how it ends, so demand is high. Not just domestically either. I read that China's opening day they could account for 99% of all seats were bought. Never underestimate people wanting to know how it ends. Adults and Kids are going for that instant gratification of childhood. And are willing to put up with the hassle of opening day/weekend crowds to get it. That's my opinion anyways.
