Some of my keys on my laptop have came off and don't work anymore. I also decided to get myself a wireless mouse with it.
It's weird but I think I'll get used of it after a few weeks.

Personally I prefer wired keyboards and wireless mouse. but with laptops... if I was going to use those for any length of time a mouse is far better/more efficient than using that crappy touchpad they give you. because when I use a laptop occasionally the touchpad is okay but if I plan on doing much on it, ill straight up connect a mouse to it as any mouse is far more efficient/quicker to use than the touchpad.
plus, it's more secure that way to since you ain't got to worry about someone potentially tapping into your keyboard (wirelessly) and seeing what you type.
on a side note... if those keys came off the laptop, it's possible you might be able to re-seat them.
p.s. I just have a decent/basic/cheap keyboard... Logitech K120 and for a mouse Logitech M510. basically both are good bang-for-the-buck keyboard/mouse. I have had that keyboard since July/Aug 2011.
