Tough for me. I hate both teams. I hate the Patriots with a passion since they beat the Panthers in 2003 in the middle of the SpyGate era. And I hate the Falcons because they are our NFC South rivals. Now I hate the Broncos too; glad that at least they crashed as badly as we did, this season.
I probably hate the Patriots more, in spite of the regional rivalry. I can't tolerate that smug Tom Brady and that evil Belichick. On the other hand it would be fun to see Goodell whom I hate too, having to give the trophy to the Pats.
This will be for me The Super Bowl of Hatred, LOL. (And envy... I must admit. If the Falcons win, we'll be the only NFC South team without a ring).
I know that a prediction is different from what I want to see happening but still... superstitiously I feel that I need to predict what I want to see... LOL. OK, I'll pinch my nose and go with the Falcons.
Here goes: a shootout, Falcons 38, Patriots 35.

Belichick is a genius. I read an article about how he changed everything regarding Brady's targets for the AFC title game and surprised the opponent. I'm going with the Patriots.

Patriots 31 - Falcons 24 I don't know what you mean by 'changing Brady's targets.' Chris Hogan ate the Steelers alive because they inexplicably left him uncovered all night. I guess they were surprised Brady could find the open man? Anyway, I saw an interview with Martellus Bennett once and he was asked about the things that separate Brady from every other QB. One of the things he said was that you never have to tell him anything, you don't have to complain about not getting the ball. Brady will initiate the conversation by saying, "Hey I missed you on that one, keep working and I'll get it to you." Another story was about how Bennett knew they would beat the Steelers in the AFC title game that year. In the last team meeting leading up to the game, after the coaches left, Brady got up and addressed the team. He didn't say any rah-rah type stuff. He addressed each member of the team individually, even guys who had been on the practice squad and talked about how much he appreciated what they brought to the team, how hard they worked and how much they've improved over the season. It's the kind of leadership that makes guys run through brick walls for you. That makes a team believe they can still win when down 28-3 in the second half of a Super Bowl. I wonder if Roethlisberger or Rivers or any other QB in the league even know the names of half the guys on their teams. Quarterbacking isn't just about making throws, it's about leadership. In my (obviously biased) opinion, nobody in the history of the NFL has done that better than Brady. (I know I'm replying to a deleted user in a nearly three year old thread, but it gave me the opportunity to tell this story.)
