Here is a conversation I had with Heeeeey on the Politics Board, about space and black holes.
The thread title is 'Will humans ever become capable of traveling into ...a black hole? '
Heeeey's First reply.
My reply: OK, I will play.
Please tell us all why space is black.
Heeeeey:
My reply: Are we? Really?
Heeeeey:
My repy: "What is the closest black hole to Earth?
The closest black holes yet discovered are several thousand light-years away. They are so far that they have no effect on Earth or its environment. A supermassive black hole appears to inhabit the center of the Milky Way galaxy, about 27,000 light-years away."
Heeeeey:
No reply as yet...I can't wait!

I somehow got myself into a similar conversation with a troll who calls himself "bioslave", also on the Politics board about the "Southern Strategy" - a time from the late 1940s to the 1970s in the U.S. when the deep south states, the former slave states, switched their partisan allegiances from the Democratic Party to the Republican over the Democrats hitching their wagons to the emerging Civil Rights Movement. In other words, they went from the segregation party of the 19th and early 20th centuries to the segregation party of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The Southern Strategy was a deliberate Republican campaign plan to seize power in these states by encouraging racial separation and distrust.
Mr. bioslave showed up to demand that people produce documents, archives, or other proof that the Southern Strategy actually existed. No matter how many replied with proof, he would always answer with the same demand for documents. He must have had that reply on his clipboard because that was almost all he said. It was maddening (which is no doubt what he intended) so I bailed early.

I didn't reply because it seemed like a non sequitur to me. It had nothing to do with what I said.
Btw, your mind is too tiny and limited to even begin to fathom the infinitude of worlds that might exist inside a black hole.
Your scientists don't tell you everything they know anyway.

In your abject ignorance, you stated that space was black around us because WE were in a black hole, despite me giving you a chance to change your mind, so you arrogantly re-affirmed your ignorance. You are pathetic in your Dunning Kruger -esque anti-intellectualism.

So much information about human caused climate change. So much evidence about the U.S. President's lying and malice. So much evidence about the failure of conservatism's "trickle down" economic policies. Yet so many people CHOSE to ignore Reality because of their political and religious bigotries. Their hate and rage overrides what everyone else can see. As their President might say (not realizing he is quoting Groucho Marx), "Who are you going to believe? Me or your own eyes?"

It really is a baffling and worrying phenomenon, since it led to the election of the President that you now have, and the governance of your nation with knock on effects to the world. Wilfully stupid people like Heeeeey and Erjen(ious) and Bioslave amongst others on these Boards are the kind who are attracted to sensationalism, half truths and conspiracy theories to back up their entrenched bigotry as you suggested in politics and religion. Though it is rife throughout the world, it seems that Americans are particularly prone to this. Why? Is it a lack of education? Is it belief in the unreality of Hollywood and celebrity, a less than adequate free press, inherent propaganda? Your country is divided by political ideologies that are not based on facts and nobody seems to care anymore. You have a vast bulk of Americans who align the type of democratic socialism that works in most of the rest of the West with 'communism' and the devil. 'Capitalism' somehow means freedom when in fact for most people it is the reverse, as you said about the myth of trickle down economics and in a diverse multicultural society based on immigration you have racism and limited entry to your country on ethnic and religious grounds as never before. The outside world just raises their eyes when USA and Trump is mentioned. If we thought it was just an aberration, it wouldn't be so bad, however nearly half of your population believe this shit! I am in Australia and we are about to have an election, hopefully to get rid of our elected middle right government ( who was led to the far right in a staged internal coup) and get rid of climate deniers, coal advocates, religious bigots and anti-Muslim protagonists, anti-feminists, anti-abortion advocates and replace them with a more 'socialist' government with more egalitarian policies because the Australian people tend to think of 'socialism' as more a euphemism for 'a fair go for all' than hidden and subversive 'communism' as they do in the USA if they are ignorant.

You mean the 'socialist' who wears a hibab that you are so gaga over? And you talk about 'anti-feminism'? GTFO! Funny how you don't consider anti-Christianity to be 'religious bigotry'.

Jacinda Ardern wore a hijab in solidarity and with respect for grieving members of her community What is wrong with that? She also immediately followed that up with anti-gun legislation as the perpetrator had been not able to get guns in Australia so went to New Zealand for a soft target. That hole is now plugged. 2. I am not anti-Christian until it crosses the line over into politics with influences that are unconstitutional and affect the quality of life and my rights and freedoms. I firmly believe in freedom of all religions as long as they remain just that. I also believe in freedom FROM religion in a secular nation. That is not bigotry.
