All Star Wars films are, in the final analysis, just films.

I'm not really a Star wars fan, but I liked revenge of the Sith and return of the Jedi a lot more than empire. Funny enough, those two particular Star Wars films are among my favorite Star Wars films.

I think the majority of them hate all the 'Star Wars' movies apart from 'The Empire Strikes Back.' That is the only movie out of the entire franchise they praise and when they are not putting down the new movies they put down the prequels along with 'A New Hope' and 'Return of the Jedi' to praise 'The Empire Strikes Back' up. I am not even sure how they can call themselves 'Star Wars fans' since they clearly only like one movie. Yeah that’s kind of how it feels when you think about it. Almost every SW movie aside Empire is unsatisfying to anybody. You got those that don’t like ROTJ for its campiness after the grounded and dark ESB. You got those that hate the prequels. You get those that hate the sequel trilogy from Disney. And now you even have those that say A New Hope hasn’t aged well. If all of this does apply to certain fans (which I’m not saying it is, but I’m wondering if there are), for the love of god you fanboys, make up your own mind!!! Ahh. I think the problem is some of them aren't capable of making up their own mind and they only hate on ones that are popular to hate on among others and if one week the prequels are popular they will love them and write about how wonderful they are everywhere but if they are not the following week they will be back to hating on them again. It seems to be the old "Bobby jumps in the river so we better all join him" mentality and I might be in the minority here but I don't hate any of the 'Star Wars' and think all the movies had good moments. My least favourite movies were 'Solo' and 'Rogue One' but mostly 'cause they didn't have Jedis in them and I prefer to see the Jedis at the front and centre of the movies like Luke, Obi Wan, Anakin and Rey have been in the majority of the movies. I am looking forward to seeing the 'Rise of Skywalker' and seeing the return of Palpatine who I think could turn out to be Darth Plaguesis since we never saw Darth Plaguesis in any of the live action movies and he was said to be so powerful he could escape death or bring people back from the dead and the only character that has mentioned him has been Papaltine so it wouldn't be that hard to believe Papaltine is him and he killed his apprentice and not the opposite way around. What do you think James?

What do you think James? Agreed about the fans. I think it’s become most ludicrous when they jump on the hate bandwagon for the sequel trilogy. Well I don’t know who this Darth Plaguesis is, so I don’t know what to think. Is he from one of the shows or from the comics?

I don't know if it's true. I was in 8th grade when Phantom Menace came out and I loved it, but by time Attack of the Clones came out I had already turned on it. I despised Attack of the Clones upon first watch, but enjoyed Revenge of the Sith despite some cringe acting, dialogue and FX work. I've talked to young people who love the prequels and don't care one way or another for the original trilogy. I think a lot of the younger millennials and Gen-Yers grew up watching the Clone Wars cartoon series, and that anchors their love for the prequels. I definitely believe the majority of people liked Last Jedi, and it was an extremely noisy minority that hated it.

It is like how people have all jumped on the Nickelback hate bandwagon now and I was never a big fan of the band but the fact was they were very successful at one point and had multiple hits on the charts and many people who hate on them now contributed to their success in the first place by buying their albums and singles and they say they hate them now just 'cause it is unpopular to like the band. As for Darth Plaguesis I am surprised you don't remember him being mentioned but it was only for a short time and he has been talked about a lot more by fans and in other adaptions. Do you remember the scene in 'Revenge of the Sith' where Palpatine is trying to corrupt Anakin and turn him to the dark side by using his nightmares against him saying Padme was going to die? He spoke of a legend of Darth Plaguesis who was the most powerful Sith lord in history and was so powerful he could bring back the dead and stop the people he loved from dying. Palpatine claimed to be his apprentice and he killed Darth Plaguesis in his sleep saying he was so powerful but couldn't save himself while he was asleep. Some believe Palpatine is Darth Plaguesis 'cause he was too powerful to be killed and Darth Plaguesis killed his apprentice and stole his identity. I think it is possible and many have been waiting to see Darth Plaguesis in live action 'cause of how powerful he is said to be.

My view on Star Wars is this The original trilogy is not as great as many people claim. The prequel trilogy is not as bad as many people claim. The force awakens was not to bad. The Last Jedi was pretty bad. Rouge One was good But the movies of the original trilogy are the best. This is pretty much my thoughts as well, except I disagree about the OT not being as great as many claim.

I have a feeling that I am going to get attacked and insulted for saying that and also this next part which is that "THE FORCE AWAKENS" is actually my own Number 1 Favorite "STAR WARS" Movie (before it came out though, My Favorite was "RETURN OF THE JEDI").

Thanks, Deb! Okay. You should watch 'Revenge of the Sith' again if you get a chance. I personally liked it the most out of the 'Star Wars' prequel movies and know a lot of other fans who thought it was the best and I liked seeing Anakin become Darth Vader and his fight with Obi Wan on the lava planet and if they go through with the 'Obi Wan' solo movie I hope we get to see Obi Wan face Anakin again 'cause the biggest plot hole in the 'Star Wars' franchise in my opinion has always been why Obi Wan never tried to stop Darth Vader when he almost killed him in 'Revenge of the Sith' and actually let him live. You would also think Darth Vader would have been fuming with Obi Wan for putting him in that costume.

Using your "logic" no movie or tv show or book or any work of art for that matter should EVER be critiqued in less than fawning terms by anyone who hasn't created a work of art themselves. Yeah. That makes sense.

It's hard to jump on a "hate" bandwagon when you hated it from the beginning. Does that make people like me the band leader? My opinions didn't even evolve over time. I walked out of the theater for all three prequels wondering why I spent my money on them... I mean I even fell asleep during Attack of the Clones. I've never passed out during a movie before, not even Blair Witch project part 2.
