For the sake of humanity? For the sake of their wallets. As I said to Zievarrerr they'll be taking a few years off then they'll return with a new trilogy without the Skywalkers. They won't get a premium dollar of mine. That's perfectly fine. I'm not even that much a fan of the new trilogy anyway. But you do know your boycott won't matter, right?

I'm not remotely interested in seeing this Disney garbage.

I hope this time they make Luke Skywalker transgender. I'm sure they will at some point. Luke always wanted to experience that side of the Force.
But I just don't see them advancing the story. It's a boring, bland story told with great special effects surrounding boring, bland actors.
As visually impressive as TLJ was, it was a very boring film.
If I were in charge of Disney, I would put Star Wars on hold and look to adapt other stories to the big screen.

LANDO!!! And did you recognize the laugh at the end? The more OGs from the OT, the better. One of these characters?

I’m not so sure, apparently some plans have been cancelled. After The Last Jedi and Solo (in all honesty, I haven’t seen this one yet), not surprising. The success wasn’t as good as expected, I guess. It's because they started cranking one out every 6 months. People got star wars fatigue. Solo was actually pretty good. Better than the sequel trilogy movies anyway. My godson wanted me to take him for his birthday and I was dreading it but left not at all unhappy. Nobody got star wars fatigue.. Thats just an excuse use to dismiss the idea that TLJ was trash. Marvel has been pumping out multiple films a year for a decade and they all do pretty well at the Box office..No one seems to be getting fatigued from them.

I gave up after REVENGE OF THE SITH. To be honest, I thought that six films was a good place to stop.

The biggest issues with this new trilogy is a lack of direction vision. Different directors and different writers. There is no road map outlined for the series like Marvel has done...Abrams made a mediocre film in TFA and had his plot points setup for the sequel. Then Rian Johnson comes along to "subvert the fans expectations" and retcon all those points and dump on the OT. Now Abrams is basically gonna retcon the retcons that Rian Johnson made.

I'm not remotely interested in seeing this Disney garbage. Yet they have been so much better made than the prequel trilogy. The incompetence on display in those movies at times was astonishing.

How did they dump on the OT? Do you mean certain characters dying?

I'm not remotely interested in seeing this Disney garbage. Jussie Smollett has a role in this don't worry.

I gave up after REVENGE OF THE SITH. To be honest, I thought that six films was a good place to stop. I felt Revenge of the Sith was good actually, maybe it should've ended at that. I thought the final scene of Vader crying out was a bit of a cringe. Imagine if he'd simply stood there, crushing and destroying everything in the room in silent grief and rage. However, it was no worse than the rest of the trilogy. That final battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan looked so silly and over-the-top, it actually bored me. Too much CGI, too little consideration and thought.
