It's that way for me. Every page I open gets redirected to the bottom of the page where the usually ignorable ads are. Driving me crazy. Apparently they rolled out some blocks a few days ago, and clearing your cache is advised: support.proboards.com/post/7181833/thread

I don't think it's the site as 'Firefox + uBlocK Origin' (uBlock Origin extension by Raymond Hill) works fine on this site. but I am using a real computer, not any of that phone crap which is a watered down internet experience. but even with a phone, assuming you got android, you can use 'Firefox + uBlock Origin' on that to which should react similarly. I am not sure whether one can use that combo on a iPhone or not. but with that said... I know my computer is in good running order. for those who think they got a bunch of random crap on their computer... my advice (as this is the first thing I would do if I had your computer), wipe the drive and install your OS from scratch (you can get Windows 10 ISO's on Microsoft's website which can boot from USB (or DVD) to wipe your computers hard drive and install Windows 10 from scratch) as then you can pretty much guarantee your system is in good running order. then from there on forward be careful on what you install on your computer and keep the OS updated etc and chances are you won't get any shady stuff on your system. also, I suggest using the default Windows Defender for your anti-virus instead of a 3rd-party anti-virus program as the built-in virus protection (i.e. Windows Defender) should be 'good enough' and will be much less likely to interfere with your general usage of your computer.
p.s. while the Chrome browser is the most popular/used browser I never cared for it personally as I always liked Firefox more overall with extensions etc.
Hairynosedwombat off the top of my head... there should be a factory reset option which should wipe the tablet and restore it back to how it was when you first used it. NOTE: using the factory reset will likely wipe anything you have on the tablet. so if you got any important pictures etc back that stuff up first before doing the 'factory reset' option otherwise it will be deleted.
then from there, assuming you got some sort of decent android tablet, you can probably install Firefox + uBlock Origin combo and you should be good.

mslo79 - An ad blocker is a solution, but given ProBoard's strict policy against invasive ads, I'm not so sure it's the solution.

Yeah, but I was just saying to use that combo as a general rule online. like with Chrome or Firefox, uBlock Origin would be a default install in my opinion as it cleans up a lot of junk online to make ones general browsing experience noticeably better.
but like you basically mentioned... it could be some other junk on their computers that needs to be cleaned up. hence, my 'wipe the drive and reinstall the OS' method. it's not the quickest option, as it can be time consuming, but it's the best and helps ensure ones computer is in good running order. because while one might be able to remove junk from their computer with a anti-virus or Malwarebytes (and the like), the only way to be nearly certain your computer is totally clean is to wipe the drive and start fresh and then just be careful on what you allow to be installed on your computer in the future so it don't happen again. like if someone gets hit with some shady crap, the only way I would personally trust using that computer again is to wipe the drive and start fresh.

These are ads that are slipping through the cracks of ProBoards' ad policy, so it's something ProBoards needs to tackle. Aside from reporting the ads, there's not much we can do from here. And since redirects on mobile devices are difficult if not impossible to report, there's even less we can do. It's up to PB, and they are aware of the problem.
