Sammy was doing shows at the time of this episode in Las Vegas. After his shows ended at like 2am, he would sleep on the way to the WWW set in an ambulance. After the days shootings, he would start the process all over again. Yea, and then he was probably partying with the rest of The Rat Pack. But don't you think his performance was exceptional in this episode?

I'm enjoying the reruns on MeTV. Artemus Gordon is my favorite of the main characters.

Excellent series. I still haven't watched season four yet but the first three seasons are a lot of great fun. The first season, in particular, was outstanding.

Season 4 is not as good as the other three. However, it is still West. True enough. They started to tone down the violence near the end, and Ross Martin's absence was noticeable. But all in all, the fourth season is a triumph in the face of adversity.

There are several stand out episodes: Fugitives Egyptian Queen(great bar fight scene) Pistolaros Big Blackmail Fire and Brimstone

Mostly I remember Jim's tight pants and his brocade vest and him climbing up porches...
I really dug the caboose. It was kitted out nicely.

I dutifully bought each season of "The Wild Wild West" on DVD as it was released. But then CBS/Paramount decided to only sell the two made-for-TV movies as part of a complete series set. I refused to re-buy four seasons just to get two movies. But on June 13, 2017 "Wild Wild Revisited" and "More Wild Wild West" will finally be sold separately as a reasonably priced double feature: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071D8R82X/

The great thing about WWW: That is most definitely RObert Conrad doing all that high energy brawling. Just compare his fight scenes with contemporary stuff like Bonanza, Star trek, etc. -- the obvious replacement of the actors with stunt men is often painful to watch.

That's part of the fun/charm of the show. Looking/seeing how many times Whitey Hughes, Red West, and Dick Cangey will appear and reappear on the episode.

There's ONLY 1 bad thing about The Wild Wild West ... they only completed 104 episodes. 10 Rating And it didn't stop at 104 episodes because people stopped watching it, but because of the expense and insurance for the stunts.

I heard one of the reasons the show was cancelled was due to the political incorrectness at the time of violence on TV.
