This whole plot with Laurel bores me. While I'm definitely not an Olicity fan, I never care about Laurel-Prime; she just lacked charisma and I honestly didn't mind when they killed her off. She was my second choice after killing off Felicity. So naturally naturally my opinion about "Other" Laurel isn't any better; especially since they seemed to constantly give her the direction to sneer with every line, no matter what it is.
Sara's entrance is interesting if not convenient. For a second I thought they were going to give Dinah back her powers after all, but instead it's Sara; which at first blush is a good reminder that she was the first of the lot to use a sonic cry, albeit in a ball she would throw out. I've previously wondered why she doesn't use that on Legends; and nowI'm more so wondering this will be added to her arsenal. But two things get me when Felicity says she rigged this up. First of all, yes, Laurel-Prime a device for her canary cry, created by Cisco; a fact I forgot for a second, since I had gotten used to Other Laurel being a meta and coming by it naturally. But it seems disingenuous for Felicity to say she modified Laurel-Prime's tech, when Laurel's tech was itself a mod of Sara's sonic tech.... Plus, why modify it into a wrist watch instead of a collar that modulates the user's actual voice like Sara had gotten? that seems way more convenient than a watch and requires less work to put in Sara's hands. Second question, why didn't Felicity give this tech to Dinah when she lost her powers?
Is it me or does Sara's hair always seem to look wet when she's wearing her outfit? Or the very least it tends to look styled or blown out in a different way than normal.
So Dinah's upset about "another vigilante" showing up in town? Seriously, they've made this so fucking convoluted. Sara was one of the people recognized for saving Earth from the Dominators in the first crossover. She works for, in some capacity, with the Time Bureau, which apparently has ties to the federal government in some ambiguous way. The law banning vigilantes was repealed.
What would it mean then for the Flash to show up in Star City? Would they throw him out to and say, "No vigilantes allowed"?
Holy shit, someone's actually using the salmon ladder! How long has it been?
I still ship Salicity.
Felicity: "Thank you for coming"
I kinda do want to see what the "legends" are up to in Sara's absence. She really isn't wrong that any time she steps away they do something stupid.
Maybe I'm just a male chauvinist, I hope not, but should Felicity be running around with Black Canary, dodging bomb explosions while pregnant? I'm pretty sure pregnant cops go on desk duty; though don't quote me on that, since the bulk of my police knowledge stems from watching SVU. Mind you, Dinah doesn't know she's pregnant and apparently will never find out for 20 years..... so I guess that explains why she's rolling with it.
Do Dinah and Felicity not know that when someone on one of these shows says, "I'm going to get some air," they're going solo; especially when they trail off from some other random thought? They know she's not coming back, right?
How have they gone this long without Sara and Other Laurel having a meeting of the minds?
Felicity: "Who do you think she's going to sell it to, the Girl Scouts?"
Don't underestimate the Girl Scouts, they'd probably be at the black market weapons auction too, kneecapping anyone who tries to out bid them. Girl Scouts are vicious man; thin mints are made out of Girl Scouts who don't make quota selling cookies. #TrueStory
And just like that, Other Laurel is a good guy again. I was really hoping she had been working a long angle to bring Shadow Thief in or something, proving that she really had turned a corner, instead of completely falling off the wagon. This just means that she really did try to go back to her old ways and had to be talked down; so what's to say this won't happen again in the not too distant future?
You know what would come in handy making an escape? That handheld device the Time Bureau uses to step between once location/time and another. If only one of them had regular contact with the Time Bureau to have access to one of those....
Seriously, after all this bullshit redeeming Other Laurel and they're going to just ship her back to Earth 2? (Sigh) I know I just got done saying I don't like Laurel and was content when they killed the first one off, but I'm mostly annoyed that they wasted so much time.
Okay, I guess she doesn't stay gone for long....
