Episode 9 is supposed to be the "last" of the episodic films. But do you think in the next 30-40 years we'll see a new trilogy?

30-40 years? They will probably have spit out a minimum of 10 more movies post Episode 9 by that point.

With how much money these movies make they'll keep em going.

30-40 years? Pfft please, the next trilogy will be arriving in another 5-10 years depending on the success of TRoS, and due to the success of the last two, financially. And Iโm one of those that actually liked the last two.

I hope not. I don't mind the spin-off trilogies that they are planning which will explore other areas of the Star Wars universe.

With how much money these movies make they'll keep em going. Yes, but Disney Star Wars is definitely experiencing the law of diminishing returns. They've released two Episodes and two Star Wars Stories, and in each case, the follow-up made considerably less than its predecessor. The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Rogue One Solo Worldwide Gross $2,068,223,624 $1,332,539,889 $1,056,057,273 $392,924,807 www.boxofficemojo.com/showdowns/chart/?id=starwarsdisney.htmTLJ was down 36% from TFA, while Solo was down 63% from Rogue One. I wouldn't be surprised if Episode IX is down 36% from TLJ, meaning a worldwide gross of $853 million. I have no doubt Episode IX will make a profit, but the best days at the box office for Disney Star Wars are behind it.
