This 1932 melodrama, starring Joan Crawford and Robert Montgomery, has been out of circulation since the mid 1930's, when MGM was sued for copyright infringement filed by the original author of the play "Dishonored Lady", on which the movie is based.
Will this matter ever be settled?? I would love to see it on TCM before I die!
BTW, "Dishonored Lady" was filmed in 1946, starring Hedy Lamarr. I've never seen it, but it was post-Code, so that means Lamarr's character had to pay for the crime that Crawford got away with.

I've seen the Hedy Lamarr version. It's screening on the youtube.

Is this the one were Crawford got away with murder, and is still tangled in lawsuits ? No, I don't think so. You might be referring to PAID, another pre-Code film.
