I'm thinking James Cameron still holds the title. Was watching the last act of Terminator 2 yesterday, from the destruction of the Cyberdyne building to the highway chase. Also ballsy to fly a helicopter underneath an overpass. There's also the last act of Aliens to consider or the time Arnie used a harrier jet to rescue his daughter from Islamic terrorists.

Cameron is up there for sure. When done right, (Raiders, Private Ryan) Spielberg can do good action work.

Damn, I'm torn between Spielberg and Cameron. Admittedly feeling biased towards Spielberg just since he's done just a few more blockbuster films.

Right now? No one is better than Christopher McQuarrie.

Spielberg. What he did with the original Indiana Jones trilogy is action movie poetry. Such beautiful action that can’t be topped.

Cameron is a good pic. Right now, I think it's Gareth Evans.
