It’s definitely established by the time Sam kills a WW in season 3. White Walkers are not wights. One more dumbass trying to look smart. There is a consistency in the kind of people who still like the shit. Everyone knows the difference, man. You don't need to make insulting remarks if somebody had a slight confusion regarding your question.

It’s definitely established by the time Sam kills a WW in season 3. I think Leo of Red Keep means to say has it been shown that dragon glass can kill wights (it was already known it can kill WWs)? In the book you can only kill wights by fire or make them ineffective by chopping them into pieces. The show producers changed that by making Jon kill the wight with his dagger made of the obsidian blade. Actually the books do not say that. I always assumed from the book that whatever kills an Other kills their creation. Unlike the show, there has been very little interaction with them or narrative on them and only one scene involving dragonglass being blocked by armor but it would be odd to create an army's worth of weapons with them if they had no effect on the bulk of the enemy. They are definitely interchangeable in the show.

I gave it an 8. It would have been higher if I could actually have seen what was going on.

I will say I laughed a couple times this episode. When Sansa says she doesn't know how to use a knife. I couldn't hold it in. I thought at first "how dumb are you?! it's a fucking knife!" then I quickly remembered it's Sansa and she's a dumbass. You took that literally? She meant she's not trained in combat like Arya. She's never had to kill anyone or so much as raise a dagger before.

This is what I thought I’ll copy and paste Seriously disappointed. And I don’t even like the WW. Turns out the NK really is just some random fuck who didn’t do anything cool. Didn’t even fight. The symbols mean nothing. Cersei will never deal with him. All the characters had that plot armor from episode 6 last season where hordes of Wights were pinning the down without killing them. Jon did nothing and Dany fought more than him. The battle over all just sucked ass. Couldn’t see shit either. Nobody did anything this episode besides Arya. In fact id say she was the main character of the episode for sure. Bran didn't do anything except warg into Ravens. Most of the characters spent their time pinned under WW or running away. Can anyone name one cool thing a character did in this fight for instance? Besides arya Idk I just expected way more. I didnt want a full on superhero film but I wanted the night king actually fighting for once. Alongside his generals. And all the characters having to team up in a desperate attempt to take him down. But no, the NK stared at bran and that was that. And Cersei looks like a genius now for not helping since Arya could so easily do it. Sorry for the rant just disappointing He isn't just a random guy according to what is established in the books. Since they didn't give him any backstory in the show, I'll tell you what they give in the books... He's revealed to be a Stark and the 13th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. He fell in love with a pale woman with blue eyes Beyond The Wall, wed her, bed her, crowned himself king, and he spent years committing all kinds of atrocities with his queen. Eventually, the North rallied against him and put him an end to his original reign. His crimes were so severe that the Maesters of the Citadel wiped all memory of the NK from the history books, which explains why no one knows much about him in the present times (outside of Bran). The additional information given in the books is that when he gave his ice queen his seed, she took his human essence and he was turned into a White Walker (this part was obviously changed to have the Children of the Forest do it instead in the show). It's a shame they didn't present any of this in the show. The opportune moment would have been when Bran said, "I'm leaving now" or whatever it is he said before Warging into the birds and have a quick flashback sequence. I believe the symbols the Night King made in season 1 and this season were basically like a House sigil for the White Walkers - this part is just my own theory though. It's not based on anything presented in the show or books. Nobody did anything?! A lot happened. There was lots of heroism. The Hound composing himself to help Arya was good. I really don't care for Melisandre. In fact, I loath her. I have to admit she helped a lot with her firepower. Jorah going out protecting Dany was tough to watch. I liked how Theon did what he did for Bran. It was wonderful for Bran to have a "personal moment" with someone because Robot Bran was getting a bit tiresome. Based on that moment, it makes me wonder if he's still the 3 Eyed Raven or if he's kind of shed that persona now that the Night King has been defeated and returned to being Brandon Stark? I guess we'll find out. I wonder how Yara will factor into the story now that her brother is gone? It was weird that Meera wasn't there. I think that was a misstep on the part of D&D. She should have fought. I thought the Night King toying with Bran was right on spot. He had previously toyed with Jon at Hardhome. When Dany tried to burn him, he just smirked at her, and went for his spear...his arrogance is clearly his weakness. It reminds me of how Voldemort toys with Harry Potter on multiple occasions and ends up losing due to it. Arya only was able to do it because Melisandre told her she was going to kill the Night King with her "blue eyes" line. No one else could do it because of that. She was meant to do it. It’s already written, the ink is dry!

And quite frankly Dany and her dragon were absent for large portions of the battle. We just had to wonder "What were they doing?" Dany and Jon were trying to find the Night King. If they could put him down, it would be over. The storm brought by the White Walkers was severe and kept preventing them from easily finding the NK.

It's not like it was a sword or a gun or anything more complicated. It was literally just a knife and her saying that she doesn't know how to use it was fucking priceless.

Why is this guy tolerated here when he talks to people like this? He isn't. He is the biggest piece of shit here, and everyone knows it. When I told him this before, he lectured me for speaking for everyone. I asked him for his evidence to the contrary. He hasn't spoken to me since. Edit: It's been pretty fricking sweet. I recommend it to everyone.

It’s already written, the ink is dry! I can hardly throw more shit on the story than I already have but this will be the bottom level if they have it come out this way. The old sheepish wish to believe that nothing you do or any choice you make has any real influence, that you are freed of the burden of agency, is the pinnacle of self-despite and deserves nothing but contempt. It appears to be the Stark motto, though, "Winter is coming", and one of the reasons for their popularity. Stark fans are a shameful lot.

Even in this clip, the insert of what he is watching is so dark you can't see anything.
