I like this drink they sell at my local grocery store called "That Indian Drink" (it's Lassi). It comes in 3 flavors, sold in 8-oz. bottles. But they're $2.50 each! WAAAYYY too much! As such, it's become just a rare treat.

The first thing that comes to mind is Kobe beef. I have eaten Kobe-style beef but I am not sure I have ever tried the real thing.

Gruyere!!! I have to settle for regular swiss in the mean time. Good call. I love cheese and I never have fewer than three different types of cheese on my fridge (at this moment I have cheddar, feta, blue cheese, and another type - like a Morbier but not a Morbier) but I usually refrain from buying the most expensive imported ones.

Are you French? Eating songbirds seems to be popular in France. I could never eat one, I had a male Northern Cardinal that lived to be 30 years old and if I were served a whole songbird, I would think of little Pippen and probably puke. When I lived in Greece, newly hatched chicks still in the shell was considered a delicacy, just give me a Big Mac.

Part of the driving force behind my leaving meat behind was the treatment of animals (generally speaking) and those birds are legit tortured. I just know theyβre freakishly expensive and it seemed to be a fitting response.

Yes! As some know, I am a self confessed cheese aholic. Has nothing to do with being from the "cheese" state either .

Also, Brazil nuts and Macadamias are pretty expensive. Pecans and almonds aren't far behind.

The pistachios I buy for WKD are cheaper than apples. I get the 6 1/2 oz. bag of the Wonderful brand of pistachios with no shells at Walmart for $5.98 U.S. That's about the same price as a big bag of potato chips and the pistachios are better for him.
