For whatever reason, I was reliving an old memory and watching "April Love" with Pat Boone and Shirley Jones on YouTube. Both were 23 at the time. In one scene, Boone is singing the title song at a dance. Shirley is watching him. But who is that extra that is standing next to Shirley. This five-second clip is the only scene in which he appears. He doesn't speak, so he is not in the credits. But he looks so familiar. My first thought was Robert Reed (Brady Bunch) 14 years before that show aired, but now, I don't think so.  |

I've never seen the movie so I don't know but he does look familiar. He kind of looks like Skip Homeier. It looks like Shirley is holding his arm, though. Isn't it strange that a character whose arm the star is holding wouldn't have any speaking lines? Paging Nalkarj and BATouttaheck |

As you can see from the un-cropped photo, those are two fingers from his own left hand. Shirley was Pat Boone's date at this dance.

Not much on him on IMDB (no photos), but he was a young guy around that time, very athletic, and you can pull up a few publicity shots from April Love, and the face matches. He looks NOTHING like Skip Homier, who had a cleft chin, and nothing like Michael Tolan, either.

I do believe the actor's name is Brad Jackson. Not much on him on IMDB (no photos), but he was a young guy around that time, very athletic, and you can pull up a few publicity shots from April Love, and the face matches. He looks NOTHING like Skip Homier, who had a cleft chin, and nothing like Michael Tolan, either. 
^Brad Jackson^. Nope, the guy next to Shirley looks MORE like either SH or MT.

Skip Homier had a cleft in his chin that was rather obvious. He looks nothing like the guy in April Love. Compare the photo you posted of Brad Jackson. The hair is lighter, but the face is the same as in the shot with Shirley.

I also haven’t seen the movie, but I think naterdawg’s suggestion is the best one. Here’s another picture of Jackson:  He looks younger in this photo, but I think he looks like the same guy. IMDb credits him as “Al Turner” in April Love, if that affects it any. |

The guy in the frame grab is referred to as "Al" (the character Brad Jackson played) by Shirley Jones and Pat Boone. He's in both the later barbeque and drag race scenes.

I remember him very vividly from the 60s and 70s, especially the "Expanding Human" episode of The Outer Limits. He co-starred with Keith Andes, and they bear a striking resemblance to one another. For a real eye-opener, watch "Tomorrow, the World" (1944), starring 14 year-old "Skippy" Homier as a young Hitler youth. It's really an amazing performance for a child, and he'd played the part earlier on the stage.
