The last collectable I bought is a Kodak Brownie II camera, a 1980s camera notable for being the last camera to have the "Brownie" name that had started in 1900. Here are two pictures of one: It cost me a mere $10 (Australian dollars) complete with box, a roll (or rather cartridge) of long-expired film and an unused bar of flip-flash! I've got some fresh 110 format film so I'm hoping to try it out soon. How about you? What was the last collectable you bought?

Replying to my own thread here, but I just bought a Kodak Brownie 44A on eBay, which the seller says still works. It takes 127 film. Two companies supply that format (one in Japan, the other in Canada), and I have some, so I hope to try it out when it arrives in the mail. I spent a long time without buying any cameras, so I don't feel too guilty buying two in the same week (either way, they didn't cost much. The shipping was more than the camera).

OK, I admit, my addiction to buying old cameras is coming pack. I just bought: The Pouva Start was made in former East Germany during the 1950s, and was very popular there. When I saw a picture of this camera, with its beautiful styling, I simply had to get it!

As a photography enthusiast, your camera purchases are interesting.
Anyway, my last collectable would be the Ripley/Newt two pack from NECA. I bought two, one to keep packaged, & one to open & set up for some photography.

I recently bought a 120 film Franka Solida German made camera (bellows type) from the early 1950's. It is inscribed as being made in the US occupied zone. It is in perfect working order. It is one of about 20 film cameras that I own. My prize is a German made Rollei 35...

One of my best friends just inexplicably sold his nice home in a safe suburban area and moved his wife, son and 3 dogs to a home half the size in a shitty neighborhood located in a shitty urban area. He has some crazy idea that the area is about to gentrify and he will flip the tiny crappy house and double his money. I hope it works out but I'm seeing his dogs getting out of the tiny yard and getting ran over, his wife and son being perpetually scared from all the hood rats nearby, his cars and maybe home being robbed several times and him regretting the whole moronic endeavor but never admitting it.
Anyway since the "new" house that was built in the 70's is so much smaller than his "old" modern home they had to sell or give away a lot of stuff. I took 2 large boxes of toys his son had to part with. It's loaded with a lot of fast food toys, hot wheels cars and for some reason several my little ponys and an unusually large number of girl figures.
I have only skimmed through it so far and plan to give my 2 adorable nieces the girly stuff. I have a huge collection of still in box action figures already but never got into hot wheels much. I guess I'll be perusing ebay to see if I have anything worth selling. If I do I plan to split it with his son who is bummed about moving to a shitty house and a much smaller room.

I collect trading cards. I mostly buy them online Ebay is a good source but better prices and discounts on shipping can be had at other online sites like sportlots and COMC "Check out my Cards" well technically now "Check Out My Collectibles" since they expanded to include comics and magazines but cards is their main product.
Shopping around you can find good prices on individual cards and sometimes on sets or huge lots, but often times you get burned on the shipping prices.

I recently bought a camera by JCPenney called "Electronic Strobe Pocket Camera", which takes 110 film.
Strictly speaking, JCPenney did not make or design cameras, but took cameras from OEM suppliers and added their logo to the camera.

A maneki neko, before that one of those Russian carved bear toys (the name escapes me for the moment). I used to collect them when I was a kid, when they had to be imported specially from the Soviet Union.

I bought an Ilford Pixie, a 1960s-era British-made camera. It takes 127 film, which is only made in limited quantities these days. I can't wait for it to come in the mail. I hope the camera works, I love cheap 127 cameras.

I just bought an Iloca Quick camera on eBay, which I hope works. I recently got an Imperial Delta camera. Very low-end, was given away in premium schemes (deposit $50 in a new savings account and get a free camera, stuff like that) and was also sold at drug stores and discount shops...but mine still works: Another camera I bought recently is the Ilford Sprite 35. It works, but only somewhat, and I haven't taken photos with it. Unfortunately, mine isn't in as nice of condition as this one: I also recently bought some old TV magazines. I also bought a vintage book called Windows 3.1 Simplified. I also recently bought a vintage video game, Kikstart for the Commodore 16 home computer, on cassette format, which I hope still works.

...speaking of 127 roll film, I own an Agfa Gevaert half frame camera from about 1934. I have shot 127 film with it and had decent results.
