I get that with how things ended between Sara and Ava that Sara might give her some space - not sure that, that would mean not stopping at their shared apartment for two weeks - but I doubt Gary would have waited two weeks to look for Ava. He's a like a sad, lonely puppy. I mean, are we to believe that Nate's been letting him out and taking him for walks this whole time?
Nate did a good impression of Thomas F. Wilson.
Well, that was kind of anticlimactic. Ava's been missing for two weeks, they spend ten minutes looking for her and immediately find her in a motel...
Yeah, Ava, that literal/metaphorical "checking out" really is on the nose. And yet again, they really cut to the chase with finding Ava and Sara making contact with her in purgatory. Which probably has something to do with the fact that 15 minutes later we haven't actually returned to Sara and Ava in purgatory, having spent most of the rest of that time on "Heyworld"
Oh, Gary.... you have bodies buried in your backyard, don't you? And they all look like the mother who never hugged you enough.
So Hank was losing his damn mind before he died, right? Maybe I'm the asshole, or maybe it's because I don't have kids, but no one in their right mind looks at the drawings of a child and say, "I'm going to find a way to sink a lot of money into making this bat shit crazy thing real."
Once again, I really want to find out these were all recent drawings Nate made. Like, between episodes while he was living on the Waverider.
On a side note, I haven't been able to help but observe the fact that, in spite of this new obsession with making Zari and Nate a thing, they seem to be going to a lot of trouble not having Nate on the ship or with the the team this season. It makes me wonder if there's a reason or if it's just how the story has played out.
And Natari? Meh. I can't think of any better ones, especially since I'm guessing she's not going to by her comic book code name, the way Nate has adopted "Steel". Either way, I think it's safe to say Nate will always love Ray more.
So when construction has begun building something as bat shit crazy as Heyworld and you tell the people building it to "tear the whole thing done," they just do everything in reverse, return the materials and give you a refund, right? Like that time Superman reversed time and everything moved backwards? No? Okay then...
Yeah, no shit Zari; boundaries, Mona! She and Gary definitely meant for each other; and the definitely going to go on a serial murder spree when they end up together.
Oh, Christ, they're not just in a metaphysical mega department store; they're in a fucking Ikea knock-off. I'm not surprised they're making it all about their relationship than saving Ava's soul, but come on.
Gotta admit, when Niron returned to the motel, I forgot Charlie could shape-shift; and genuinely believed it was going to be Gary in a wig.
How do you assemble a closed/locked cabinet?
Augh....And all of that bullshit for a "out of the closet" joke....
So unless they did a really great make-up job, it seems for once they didn't bother to try and make the actors look older, but instead brought in older actors...who look nothing the actual actors. "Old Ava" looks more like an old Katie Cassidy, and Old Sara looks about a foot taller than Catie Lotz - that, or Ava gets shorter as she gets older.
Oh, Nate's gone to face Neron...
Wait, at the start of the episode Sara said it was technically both of their apartment, but now they're saying agreed not to move in together.
I can't say I'm surprised Nora and Constantine were actually working together; and it figures Ray would screw it up. Are we going to have Ray go into Nora's purgatory so we can watch them fold laundry and mow the lawn?
Of course he steel'd out to stop the wrecking ball. When was the last time he did that this season, let alone for constructive purposes as a hero? Is that going to be what it takes to see Ray as the fucking Atom again? When he does go to mow the lawn, his new Atom suit is going to be a riding lawn mower?
So all this bullshit this episode about Zari sending Nate a sext and after she finally asks him out, they take it all back? Once again writers, fuck you.
Huh, didn't entirely expect Ray to become possessed by Neron, but not surprised. First I thought it was going to be Nate, then for a second it looked like they were going to make it Nora. Naturally by the looks of the preview for the next episode they're going to shit all of the urgency of this by once again making it a farce.
