Life of Su Lin the panda and her introduction to the West.

In the 1930s, an American socialite named Ruth Harkness met with two Chinese-American brothers and naturalists to explore the Chinese wilderness to find a panda to bring back to the United States. The cub they found was named after the younger brother Jack Young's wife Su-Lin who accompanied them on the journey.
