Scream (more satire, but I digress) and Young Frankenstein.

As well as Scream, would Shaun of the Dead and Cabin in the Woods apply?

As well as Scream, would Shaun of the Dead and Cabin in the Woods apply? I'd say Cabin in the Woods would, but not Shaun of the Dead. Its comedy comes from the characters and less from the horror scenario... but maybe that's a completely arbitrary metric. I also go with Young Frankenstein.

I saw Student Bodies a few months ago for the first time, and I kinda hated it. The silliness and novelty were off pretty quickly for me.
I will give it some credit for recognizing and breaking down the slasher formula well before most others did, but I just didn't find it funny at all after the first few mins.
I will also say that it did what Scary Movie did decades before... and at about the same level, which is not much of a compliment... but it is far more original at least.

I haven't seen it, but people seem to like Saturday the 14th also, which came out the same year as Student Bodies, I believe.

There's also Vampires Suck, which is a funny parody of the Twilight movies.
Dracula: Dead and Loving It is a spoof of Bram Stoker's Dracula, but it's kinda meh.

I'm not sure if it would count, but what about Return of the Living Dead?

I saw Student Bodies a few months ago for the first time, and I kinda hated it. The silliness and novelty were off pretty quickly for me. Yeah, the gags are pretty immature and dated, ie boobs making balloon sounds. I did find the killer's constant breathing amusing. --- Some debate over what is or isn't a parody going on. I'll weight in: Shaun of the Dead - the title is a parody of Dawn of the Dead. Otherwise, I think it's more a comedy that just features zombies. Return of the Living Dead - similar to Shaun, although the callbacks to Night of the Living Dead could be considered parody. Cabin in the Woods - like Scream, more satire than parody.

Shaun of the Dead - one of my favorite movies. High re-watch value. Own it. Love it. 8/10 beers

From what I remember about Student Bodies, it started off well and was quite funny at first, but then it gradually got weaker as it went along and just completely fell apart.

Since no one has mentioned the original horror comedy and because I do love it, I'm voting for Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.
