OMG, how hard can it be to write?! Its Indiana Jones, not All the Presidents Men! That's what I was wondering... Get Spielberg, Lucas, & Ford in a room... Come up with with a few ideas, such as: Which Mythical Object To Search For, Which Creepy Crawly, ETC... And then write the script... The only thing that might prove to be a problem, is if a Woman is cast as the main villain, instead of a Man... But that would only require some tweaks of the existing script to change the gender and a few pronouns, which should take no more than an hour tops! " New Script"? How about we call the film... "Indiana Jones 5: The Production Of Doom"!

They clearly wanted to use Jon Kasdan since Lawrence Kasdan wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Spielberg said he's not killing off the character while Iger said it won't be the last film either. Here comes casting calls for Chris Pratt.

So I guess you like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I don't think Lucas was the problem with that one. Spielberg was directing, the idea of Crystal Skulls wasn't what bothered me.

Unlike a lot of people, I had no problem with the idea of the Crystal Skulls either.
Actually, Spielberg didn't like the ending of the movie involving the spacecraft -- or the "spaces between spaces" craft.
However, he had to go along with the idea, because even though he co-created Indiana Jones with George Lucas, Lucas was the primary creator and sole owner of the character before selling Lucasfilm, and as such, Lucas was the main writer of the stories for the Indiana Jones movies and his ideas reigned supreme over everyone else's.
So even though Spielberg is the director of the franchise, Lucas was the boss.
Now that Lucasfilm belongs to Disney, I wonder if Spielberg will now get to call the shots, or if Disney/Lucasfilm is in total, complete charge.

How much control did he have over The BFG (Anybody remember that?). That was a Disney gig.

I don't think Speilberg was forced to put so much cgi into the film and I'm pretty sure Shia Lebeuf was his idea.

At this rate we’re going to get a complete Jumanji trilogy before this comes out.

The movie has begun filming in Sicily at the moment. I wonder if the plot will have a Greek/Roman theme?

It should be noted that none of the photos actually show Pheobe Waller Bridge and Harrison Ford together with the romans in one picture. For all we know those are separate scenes. The romans could be a flashback; Not time travel. click bait article more likely.

click bait article more likely. Very much possible. Heck, for all we know the romans could be part of a song and dance number shoved into the movie like in the beginning of Temple of Doom! "Anything Goes!" LOL!
