It cracks me up that he used to go into cinemas showing his movies and would go behind people "preferably two young girls" and then poke is head between them after a big scare scene and say "wasn't that scary?"
Can you imagine being on the receiving end of that--what a shocker. The ultimate 3D Vincent Price experience.

I really hope that some day Tim Burton will release his Conversations with Vincent documentary. He never finished putting it together, apparently, but he had hours of dialogues with Price discussing his life and career.
I'd love to see it.

I don't recall in all my years on internet film sites that I have ever been asked this question! Real tough, such a fine body of work. Also tricky separating best and favourite films from best and favourite performances. Finally arrived at these 10 > Witchfinder General (1968) House of Wax (1953) Leave Her to Heaven (1945) Laura (1944) The Long Night (1947) Pit and the Pendulum (1961) The Tingler (1959) Theatre of Blood (1973) The Fall of the House of Usher (1960) The Haunted Palace (1963)

I haven't seen Opium Eater or the Jackals. I have seen most of his 1960s stuff including the very obscure Nefertiti Queen of the Nile. There's a pirate film he did I haven yet to check out.

Price was the only thing worthwhile in the cheap & flatly projected South African made safari western ‘The Jackals’. From what I remember the plot is virtually a rip of the western ‘Yellow Sky’.
