Love the atmosphere presented in this teaser. It makes you question whether or not the old lady is Pennywise in disguise.
Oh yeah, and I can’t wait for this movie!

If anyone's read the novel or seen the 1990 mini-series, then you know it's Pennywise. Looks visually nice despite the silly naked old lady thing which some thought was unintentionally funny. This should be better than part 1 as part 1, the kid part of the book/mini-series are decent timewasters as i always thought the adult part of the book/mini-series was much better than the kid one.

Fair enough. I’m hoping this will be even better than the adult part of the miniseries, particularly for the ending.

Fair enough. I’m hoping this will be even better than the adult part of the miniseries, particularly for the ending. I wonder how much the movie will blend the children into this part. The best stuff in the book, and to some degree the miniseries, came from juxtaposing the childhood story directly against the adult story and mirroring them directly. The book relied on this a lot. We know they shot some additional stuff with the kids for the second movie, so I wonder if you will get a little of that. Either way, I'm sure some day there will be some box set or something that is structured a little more like the novel... If not, I'm sure a fan edit to that end will exist somewhere, sometime. ... But yes, I have to imagine this movie will have a better ending to the whole affair. That spider thing was obviously lacking. It looks like there was some version of the 'ritual' going on at one point, so that should be interesting. One of the things that was missing from the first movie was the sort of cosmic and psychic elements, so maybe they'll broach that here. It sort of worked, but I thought it was a little odd to give away essentially all of one of the best scenes from the book, and one can assume, the movie.

Mind you that I never read the book, but I agree about the ending of the 90 one.

Mind you that I never read the book, but I agree about the ending of the 90 one. Well, the book has its own issues with some really crazy ideas thrown out with regards to what Pennywise actually is and 'It's place, but it mostly works in the abstract. Showing a monstrous version of Pennywise's 'true form' could be ok, but I hope they keep the ending a bit more abstract. There's a major component to the novel that deals with a sort of psychic connection between these friends and that's how they ultimately see, confront, and defeat It at the end. It's less tangible and more surreal. That could be really difficult to pull off, but it could also lead to a really excellent pay off. A pay off better than a poorly maneuvered giant spider puppet, at least.

Oh yeah, and I can’t wait for this movie! Errr! It is all Pennywise james. Yes I know. Figured I’d use a statement like that anyway.

I just seen this when it was released a few weeks ago. I thought that they would never show it. Great trailer. I hope that the film is genuinely good and is as good as the first film.

If it ain't Tim Curry, it ain't Pennywise. I mean it's ok to recast characters like Pennywise, Jud Crandall, Dracula, Frankenstein with his monster, Dr Moreau, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde or any Stephen King characters because these are all characters who are not original cinematic horror icons but literature icons created and were established in books/novels and in the pages of books before they were films and were brought to life in pages of books as you can have interchangable actors for any adaptations. Ash, Tallman and Freddy are entirely original cinematic film horror creations not from books and were brought to life from original scripts and are established original horror films creations who were brought to life by the performance of the actors who played them even by the original screenplays as film and screenplays are entirely different than a comic, a book or a video game. Robert Englund, Angus Scrimm and Bruce Campbell are the actors who's DNA is in the character, no one else can replace these purely cinematic original horror characters with new faces as it would be too alien to the characters we know and love. Scrimm, Englund and Campbell
