Any fans
From the author of Jaws - Peter Benchley - and William Peterson from 'Manhunter' fame stars.
8/10 beers from this guy - good fun and great atmosphere - reminds me of a Stephen King flick set in New England along the coast

Yeah, it’s not too bad. Good atmosphere and some nice suspense.
Then there’s the other Peter Benchley TV movie that came out a year later; Creature (1998). Way more out-there, but I enjoyed it too.

Pretty entertaining, but I'm partial to any genre movie with an octopus or squid as the antagonist. Good cast, especially Larry Drake and Charles Martin Smith.
Unlike "Jaws", I actually think the novel is better in this case, although that may simply be because this adaptation was done for prime time network TV.

Uhh, what happened to @screamingtreefrogs? He deleted his account as a stunt on the sports board and then came back like 2 days later as screamingtreefrogsv2.0

With the right technological skill a giant squid movie could be pretty terrifying in imagery--the snapping beak mouth with tentacles swirling in a watery tempest like old illustrations of the kraken.

I saw Beast but never saw Creature. *adds it to to-do list*

He did it himself as a dramatic gesture, saying he was going away forever only to return a few days later. Hmm, that’s odd of him. I suppose. He's an odd fella. He threatened to do it once before. He declared he'd delete his account on New Years at the stroke of midnight, but true to form just stayed away for a day or two and started posting constantly upon his return. He seems to have a flair for the dramatic.
