I would guess that 50-60 million people watches Game of Thrones world wide and than you have what 700.000 people who writes that they want to remake the final season.
that is what between 1.17% and 1.40% of the people watching the show ?
Yeah i am sure they are going to remake a show because less than 2% of the people who watches the show don`t like season 8.
And lets be honest most these people who complain are just mad because their fan theories where wrong. Petitions like this are just stupid and pointless.

if these are some delusional fans of danys who want to change her fate they should know no amount of new writing can change what she is HOWEVER they can do a better job re-writting in general and giving us some extra scenes From what I've been reading, I think the majority are upset how rushed the story arc a lot of characters has been, as well as the unsatisfying writing/story in general. I can't really say i blame them - GoT deserves a better end season than this rushed one. Let me guess. Half of them are stupid Daenerys fans who never saw anything coming, half of them are fantasy fools who believed the Night King was the main villain all along and half of them are just jumping on the bandwagon to belong to the new "cool" trend. I don't think any of them can count anyway.

Well, to be honest that's just less than 2% of the people who watch the show who don't like season 8 enough to sign the petition.I'm sure that the number of people disappointed in season 8 is actually much higher than 2%.

Going out on a high note was in their interest, if they wanted people to get excited for the prequel series. They've kind of flubbed it. I agree. Seeing how rushed these last two seasons are doesn’t inspire a lot of faith in the future.

A billion signatures wouldn't change a thing...But they have plenty of reason to be upset. Why Rush the last season with crappy writing, and poor execution.

I understand that's what most people say, yet I have been expecting if for years and I must say, with highest probability, that these people are just blind fools in denial. They did not want to see it coming and more time wouldn't have changed it, nor would it have changed their reaction to it. There were lines from Daenerys herself justifying mass murder and the destruction of cities back to Season 5 (I do not count the loud threats made for tactical purposes in S2). She was shown going her own way in S7 ("be a dragon"), and refrained by Tyrion in S6 already. The build up was there. I have tried to watch a couple videos by the "new disappointed" and these idiots who kept loving the showlng after it had started to rot all have the same gripes: their characters do not end the way they wanted.

Though I don't love what they did with Dany, I think if they had shown us a couple of scenes where we could see how devastated she was after losing her closest friends one after the other, culminating in Jon telling his secret to his family which basically resulted in everyone knowing - then it might have made more sense.

I do think they should have shown us more scenes where we could actually witness the coming apart of Dany and not just shown us her grimacing at the camera, it would have been a little better. She lost her closest friends and advisors in the space of a couple of episodes and yet we weren't shown how that must have affected - even devastated her.

I know I've said it before and I would agree they probably wanted to shock the fools anyway, but the truly devastated do not turn murderous. They break and crumble. She was not. Mass murderers do not show, they do, suddenly, by surprise. That's how they can succeed in whatever they think will give them closure. Daenerys was not devastated.

To complement my answer, I see what people object to. Yes, it went fast, but not too fast. It went faster than what their expectation of the character called for. "Hurt, wounded, devastated Daenerys" would have taken more time and shown, yes, absolutely. And they would have understood. Here again we are confronted with disappointed expectations. We didn't get "hurt, wounded, devastated Daenerys", we got hard, resolute, ruthlessly mass murderous Daenerys, and that went fast because there was as much conflict in her as in Jaime the moment he realised Cersei was in serious danger. Zig and zag, be a saviour, be a dragon, be a knight, be a lion… This is going to make a great song

I said it on another board right at the beginning of the season, if they want people to be excited for a prequel series then they better have a good ending to this one. How can people watch the prequel series when they know all along that everything will end up in such a crappy state? It's like it's all tainted now.
