I liked to experiment in the kitchen and I stumbled upon this one. Fanastic!Β Best best mussel soup/sauce recipe ever. I call it:
"Bayou Mussels."
One bag frozen mussels of your choice 16 (oz) or larger.
3/4 cup water.
1/2 cup First Street (Winco) barbecue sauce
or your FAVORITE barbecue sauce
1/2 cup Louisiana Brand Cocktail sauce
(no affiliation but a good sauce!)
Add water to pan. Add package of mussels.
Turn to high until boiling.
Add 3/4 barbecue sauce
Add 1/2 cup cocktail sauce
Reduce heat cook additional five minutes.
Eat as soup or a hearty sipping sauce!
