Henrique Couto (Born: September 10, 1986 in Dayton, Ohio, US)

It can be hard keeping up with the career of Henrique Couto, a true renaissance man who's currently exploring new avenues of film distribution through the internet. Couto began working in cable access television at the age of 12 and started making short films at the age of 15. He's a prolific filmmaker who's gifted behind the camera and knows his way around the editing room. He's also a working musician with a love of the ukulele and a collector of Hawaiian shirts and vintage eyeglasses.
Couto served a valuable apprenticeship in film at POP Cinema in New Jersey and gained employment as an editor-for-hire. He then returned home to Dayton, Ohio, creating a solid artistic base for himself while building up a loyal stock company. Couto shoots features all over Ohio and knows exactly where to scout his next location. His filmography is diverse; he's even shot a western, the authentic tale 'Calamity Jane's Revenge' (2015) which was penned by John Oak Dalton.
What are some of your favourite movies directed by Henrique Couto?
Thanks.

I've enjoyed the handful of horror movies I've seen from Henrique Couto. His horror movies are thoughtful, invigorating and fun, delivering the kind of rare, delicious scare more associated with the horror masters of yesteryear. I'd like to see more of Couto's work but the majority of his films seem to have bypassed dvd.

‘Babysitter Massacre’ and ‘Scarewaves’. The former was a fine little micro budget slasher. He delivers what you want from a film of this ilk. I own a copy of ‘Alone in the Ghosthouse’, but yet to watch it. I would like to see ‘Devil’s Trail’.
A few of Henrique Couto’s short horror films;
Scary Clown (2016)
Christmas Presence (2015)
Bed Demon (2013)
He does have a small bunch of his feature length movies on his own youtube channel.

I believe you can currently see Henrique Couto's ambitious western 'Calamity Jane's Revenge' screening on youtube.
But man, how good is 'Scary Clown'! And 'Bed Demon', that's a spooky favourite.
