I know history. I know who paid for art along the ages, I know what it told. You're just an idealistic fuck with a concept limited to the romantic period. You know little about art and history. If you think Homer's Iliad and the Odyssey are political screeds you are laughably ignorant.

The audience is upset. Game Of Thrones is an intelligent story showing how people misuse power even with supposedly good or at least "right" sounding intentions. As an addition, it occurred to me that Ned Stark and Daenerys are basically doing the same thing 7 seasons or six books apart (assuming A Dream Of Spring will feature the wars to "break the wheel"), only with a different scope and amount of damage. Ned Stark consciously took actions he knew would start a war to install a different ruler for the sake of a principle that had been broken without consequence. As long as the world believed in Joffrey's legitimacy, that principle was kept. Ned Stark was offered a peaceful alternative by Littlefinger and chose war, saying there was no other choice. So Littlefinger turned on him. Daenerys started a war to install herself as the ruler she believed to be "rightful" and to remove a "tyrant" that wasn't one. There was no oppression under the Lannister rule in Westeros. Daenerys was begged by Jon Snow to show mercy and chose global war, saying others wouldn't get to choose. So Jon Snow turned on her.
