From what I understand, those who set out to discover what's west of Westeros pretty much disappear forever. Hopefully Arya has better luck.

Arya's explorations would make an excellent spinoff. I'd be more interested in that than this prequel with Naomi Watts set 10,000 years before the Targaryen conquest.

It's actually unknown. GRRM has never provided anything for it beyond Westeros and Essos.
