Aren't they supposed to be the same? I am told one is the father and one is the son. I added a poll.

This is a no-brainer unless you're Jewish. God the Father is the tyrant of the Old Testament. Christ took on human flesh to commiserate with us. Christ also struck down Hebrew tribal law about shrimp and genital mutilation. What? So you are saying that Christianity is founded on a father/son hiatus with Jesus having a temper tantrum about having a bit of his dick cut off and prawn cocktails?

I believe in them equally. I suppose I relate to Jesus more? Maybe? If it's even possible to relate to God. I like Gameboy's answer. What he said lol. So you don't think that they are one entity?

There has been many different Christian sects over time. Many of them quite contradictory, especially in the early days.
Many thoght Jesus was a prophet, but not a deity. Others believed he became a deity at the time of his death. Others thought John the Babtist was the true Messiah and Jesus only his disciple.
The Gnostics thought Jesus preachings was that God was evi (its far more complicated than that, of course). The Catholic church declared a crusade and killed almost all of them, thus proving they where right (in a sense).
I'm do not believe in any religion, but I would have to say it's far more probable, though I wouldn't say it's a great possibillity that Jesus may have exisisted, so I'll go with that.
Though I will say this, if he ever lived he was a Jew and preached Judaism. It was Paul that established the Chriatian faith.

What? So you are saying that Christianity is founded on a father/son hiatus with Jesus having a temper tantrum about having a bit of his dick cut off and prawn cocktails? Well, you know I'm gay so you know I know this stuff. Uncircumcised dicks smell and taste like rotten shellfish. There's some kosher justice there. Are you serious? You think that gay men are more choosey about this than 'women'? We LOVE our fresh prawns!...especially in my case as an extra one on the barbie!

Goz, your question & poll are a non-sequitur. As you are well aware, the Christian God Is a Trinity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, for the Christian, there is no "believing one more than the other," in Christianity.

I'm a bit of a Gnostic. A dualist for sure. No, not a duelist, although I did once outshoot Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton together.
So, God is totally out of bounds in this existence. This existence, the Universe we exist in, is like a small box that the first Devil got by tricking Adam and Eve. I don't know how many devils there are, but I suspect more than one.
In God's realm, that box is like a tiny little atom in a Universe. Okay, maybe not that tiny, but tiny. God doesn't have a place in it. He sent Jesus in to salvage spirits trapped in flesh from the rules of Satan. This is an inferior Universe. Only a moron would deny that. It's one of entropy and helplessness. Even Jerry Rice couldn't traverse 1/1,000,000,000,000,000,000 of the distance on his best day.
The three parts of the Trinity are in respect to God's presence. Jesus was present, and now only the Holy Ghost is present. God never was present. We meet him later.
So, in this inferior Universe, the Holy Ghost is most present, although its presence has been cloaked by two thousand years of blasphemy. I truly believe it began when Peter first used his stewardship to cause the deaths of two people, which is something Jesus never used the Holy Ghost for. That wasn't the Holy Ghost, quite obviously, and those two people were proven correct in their lack of faith in Peter's stewardship. That was the first "cloaking device" over the true Holy Ghost, and it's no reflection on Peter. Humans are just pitiful stewards. Since then, feeble stewardship further hid the Holy Ghost, but it's all we have in this existence.
Jesus is next, at least in our History.
God won't be present till we leave this inferior existence.
So, for now, I believe more in Jesus in this Universe than in God. God comes later. The Holy Ghost is all we really have now, though it is hidden beneath tons of horrible stewardships.

The largest non-trinitarian Christian denominations are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Oneness Pentecostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, La Luz del Mundo and the Iglesia ni Cristo, though there are a number of other smaller groups, including Christadelphians, Christian Scientists, Dawn Bible Students, Living Church of God, Assemblies of Yahweh, Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ, Members Church of God International, Unitarian Universalist Christians, The Way International, The Church of God International, and the United Church of God.

Actually, Oneness Pentecostals still believe that God Is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They just do not like to use the term 'Trinity,' or 'Persons,' to describe Him.

Actually, Oneness Pentecostals still believe that God Is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They just do not like to use the term 'Trinity,' or 'Persons,' to describe Him. Oneness teaching asserts that God is a singular spirit who is one, not three persons, individuals or minds. "Father", "Son" and "Holy Spirit"
I see where you're coming from, but there is a difference (not a big difference, but a difference nevertheless) between thinking that there is only one God and it is a singular divine Spirit, who manifests himself in many ways, including as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
To put it in a perspective it's the difference between being the son (Jesus) and the father (God) who forms a single entity rather than a single entity who takes different forms.
The holy spirit is more diffuse since different denominations have different ideas of exactly what that is.

Therefore, for the Christian, there is no "believing one more than the other," in Christianity. No, what IS a non sequitur is your reply. That is a logical impossibility IF you say that the three are ONE. Therefore you can't have what you refer to ie: another . Another means different to and more than the one. EVEN if you said that you believe in 'them' the same. The word them refers to a plural and NOT one. Three is not one, mental gymnastics and Christian apologetics aside.

Catholic Trinitarian. So, who did you vote for? Nobody, since God is the Son, The Son is God. I can't believe in one more than the other, they are consubstantial.
