And I thought I was concerned for Rian Johnson's trilogy...

In truth, I'm excited to see how badly Disney executes. TFA crushed any hopes I had. It's possible I could get excited if they bring in interesting directors like Gareth Edwards again.

I've never watched Games of Thrones, and given the recent backlash I'm glad I never started.
However, even when that series had a good reputation, I still wasn't excited for the Benioff and Weiss trilogy. That's because TLJ killed all my interest in future Star Wars installments.

Nope. I was originally, especially with how good season 1-6 was. But after the shit they pulled with season 8 in terms of writing? They can fuck off.

As someone who likes season 8, I'm excited. Even for people who didn't like season 8, of you liked the first seven seasons why would you immediately assume their movies would be bad because you didn't like one season? "Fans" today are just the f*****g worst (as evidenced by 90% of the posters here on the Star Wars boards). I can imagine if Spielberg we're just starting out today. He puts out 1941, and people are like, "I liked Jaws, but this movie sucks! I'll never watch anything he directs ever again!!!"

Not really. But not because of Benioff and Weiss. I like Game of Thrones and whatever feelings I have towards the final season, which is more related to the number of episodes than anything else, I also know that Benioff and Weiss created an amazing show.
I'm not really excited because I was bit let down by The Last Jedi.

They've shown us that without a backbone of a story to go by, they can't write a story that maintains internal consistency. They actually forgot about details that should have fundamentally changed the last season. Unless their intention is to adapt a book into a SW movie, I doubt you'll see anything better than what Johnson gave us. I know you're a Johnson shill, but some didn't enjoy his take. Granted, I do enjoy watching the fallout from the failing franchise.
