I kind of want to re-start those first 9 episodes, but then again I do own the whole series on DVD, so I am in no hurry, and I do want to continue on, specially now when I had gotten to such a good start.
I was first a bit surprised at how good and tight the show really were, almost from the get go, but then again Buffy also hit hard from the beginning, so hopefully it might continue on for very long.

Thanks to quarantine, I've begun my rewatch of Angel. Those first 9 episodes are one of the show's best streaks. The original trio had such great chemistry; I particularly like the whole case-of-the-week feel. It means we get more focus on the characters rather than some big scope narrative.
I do rank Hero as the saddest Angel episode simply because of the real life subtext of Glenn's passing.

It slowly erodes away over the rest of the series, though.
