Why were there so many (re: 4) LGBT characters? Isn't that the reality of high school these days? Especially an affluent LA one. Here's what bothers me about you types: you get outraged at media for the mere depiction of people as existing, then say the media are the ones with an agenda for not filtering them out. Btw, the only character I remember as particularly political is the one played by Jonah Hill's sister, and most of her story is about her being an out of touch snob (so...exactly what you see liberal feminists as). And again, this is supposed to be an uppity high school in LA. It'd be unrealistic if there wasn't a character like that. Wilde is a self described activist. She literally talks about her movie and being "woke" and feminism and the political messages in her movie.
You're outraged by people noticing she has and is pushing an agenda when she goes around talking about it CONSTANTLY.
I haven't seen these interviews, but I have seen the actual movie, which I'm sure you and most of the people in this thread haven't.

I didn't ask for "celebrities" I asked for big people in Hollywood lol.
How said is it you're claiming Scott Baio as an example of a big name Trump supporter in HOllywood.
You didn't answer you want me to post polls that show the political affiliation of the media broken down by percentages.......seems you haven't seen it.
Funny you didn't comment on any of those Wilde quotes I posted.....but you obviously know better than her lol.
Look how upset someone pointing out reality is making you. Everything I've said is fact. 100% verifiable fact. It's reality. Hollywood and the media are overwhelmingly Left.
You can't refute what I'm saying, so why do you keep replying and embarrassing yourself?
I mean....is the irony and hypocrisy of you calling me a "Rightie" and "paranoid" while at the same time you claim Hollywood and the MSM aren't Left lost on you? It sure isn't on me.
Everyone who is aware of reality and comments on it has to be a "Rightie" lol, but literal ACTIVISTS who talk about their movies being "woke" aren't on the Left lol.
Just lol at how ridiculous you guys are. Wilde is .....literally......a political activist.
You agree with her politics, great, but you're ridiculous trying to pretend her movie isn't political and an extension of her ACTIVISM.
>yawn<...keep typing, Jim. As the face of the 'new, unaffiliated Right', you're really convincing. Am I as convincing a your complete inability to refute anything I've said? Or were you just hoping nobody would notice?

You agree with her politics, great, but don't pretend she's not pushing her agenda. I mean (stop me if you've heard this one before) she's LITERALLY A POLITICAL ACTIVIST lol.
So if you don't mind her pushing her agenda, if you don't mind her putting her politics in her movie and talking about how "woke" it is, great, enjoy. But you can't deny reality and say she isn't doing it.

I've already refuted what you had to say. Judging by the number of 'likes' my responses to you have gotten, it also looks as if some few people have noticed, I'm happy to say. It would appear more as if your Rightie friends are, judging by their silence, hoping no one notices you, which isn't surprising since your flaunted ignorance isn't likely to help their cause very much .

I guess that must mean you're "shook up" by reality and the facts I've pointed out since you've replied what, a half dozen-10 times to me so far lol? Without being able to refute a single point I've made? (I noticed)
But you thinking "likes" trumps (no pun intended) reality is funny.
You never answered do you want me to produce polls and studies about the political affiliation of the media? (we both know the answer, I just like laughing at your attempts to deny reality).

I haven't seen these interviews, but I have seen the actual movie, which I'm sure you and most of the people in this thread haven't. I just posted links to a couple of the interview so....... You think I'm constantly shifting through your debate about which celebrities endorse Trump to find Olivia Wilde quotes? Here's one I managed to dig out: âI think [Booksmart] reflects how fluid young people are today, and I was inspired by them. Theyâve rejected the binary terms we use, and theyâve just said, âLook, weâre going to think about it differently,ââ she said. âAnd, by the way, no one is saying, âGive us credit for this. Look at our wokeness.â Itâs effortless. When I speak to these people, I realize we [older generations] are dinosaurs.â She said the exact same thing I said. Today's kids being super liberal and whatnot is a *reflection of reality*. The fact that she endorses that reality is besides the point. Though if John Hughes hated 80s teenagers, I don't think those movies would have been as good. And since you've already gotten on the "since I'm not sh*tting my pants about there being gay kids in a teen comedy set in 2019, I must support Wilde's politics" train in your last reply: for the record, I only believe in two genders and think this non-binary stuff is ridiculous. And I pretty much hate third wave feminism. But I'm not a 17 year old girl from LA. And back to me having the benefit of having seen the movie, I don't even know what her non-binary quotes are referring to as that never really comes up. I guess the skater chick the main girl is attracted to was supposed to be? But I just figured she was a tomboy. So that'll show how forced and hamfisted a message there is.

Not once, that's all your head.
I quoted what a POLITICAL ACTIVIST said about her movie lol.
And as far as "shifting" through my posts......you replied to me about those interviews.....if you're going to try to debate with someone maybe you should at least pay attention to what they're saying? I posted those links for everyone to see.
Again, you agree with her politics so it doesn't bother you but you can't deny she's pushing her politics in her movie. She LITERALLY says she is.

So you used the first four points of your post to split hairs, and the last one to blatantly lie seeing as how I LITERALLY just said I don't agree with third wave feminism and non-binary genders. I wasn't trying to debate you until my last reply, and you wasted my time. *What she said* is that kids today are hip on the liberal sh*t, and she's happy to show it. Again, not contradicting anything I've said. And not that it matters considering you'll probably just keep straw-manning me and ignoring my points, but I brought up gay kids because that's what the actual movie brings up. And it's what the OP, the inciter of this debate, brings up. Political activism is not something the movie brings up, neither are non-binary issues unless that one character happened to be. Again, she's the closest thing to non-binary in the movie, and it's not even dwelled upon.

I found one link of yours and I've addressed that link. Do you think repeatedly saying "you agree with her politics" to someone who keeps reiterating to you that they don't support third wave feminism and non-binary genders makes you look intelligent or gives you any kind of high ground?

I mean you lie about her doing that so why should I believe you when you say you don't agree with her? It's obvious you do agree. That's why you keep making excuses, lying about her doing it and why you keep trying to deny she's doing it.

Tell me what I said that's not true.
Are you denying that the MSM and Hollywood are OVERWHELMINGLY liberal?
Or are you denying that Wilde is a political activist who literally talked about the politics in her movie? Let me know!

Fucking ESPN went woke and then went broke. They just announced they're cutting out the politics because they're losing so much money and so many viewers.
I just don't get why these guys try to deny it.

My friend, YOU responded to ME. I came in replying directly to the OP and stopped reading anything after that when it became a Trump debate. Now you're sitting there laughing your tits off because I didn't retroactively do homework for an argument you roped me into? In all this time spent thinking I'm lying about something that'd be hard to lie about with 8000 posts on this site, you could have just linked it. And now having found it (yes, "found" - sorry I don't find reading through Scott Baio's political beliefs very exciting) I still don't see how she inserted politics in beyond her characters being realistically liberal for 2019 era teens in LA. Again, I've seen the damn thing. The actual movie is a pretty credible source on what's in the actual movie. I also found you not too excited for the other poster to assume you were a "rightie" for not liking liberal agendas. I don't suppose you recognize the irony.
