George R. R. Martin is still SUPOSSED to write two more books in the series, right? I'm guessing there will be some changes. Some major, some minor. But now that the show has become so popular and surpassed where he's at in the story I imagine that he'll really want to make changes so as to differentiate what comes up from what Benioff and Weiss came up with.
What do you think he'll change?
And
What do you hope he'll change?
And
What do you hope he'll change it too?
Lets throw out our ideas... I would like it if Brienne got together with Tormund We saw more of the Direwolves and saw one of the Starks waarg into one Lady Stoneheart - I haven't read the books but she sounds really badass Jaime is the one to kill Cersei - or neither of them die (good or bad, they were two of the most interesting characters on the show) The battle of fire and ice doesn't end in one silly episode If Brienne lives it's entirely possible she will be in the North and meet Tormund although her and Jaime have the exact same connection in the books. In the books, at least 3 of the Stark children can warg with their direwolves - Jon, Bran, & Arya. Sansa's died early (Symbolizing her detachment from the North), Robb is never a Chapter character, & Rickon is too young. I am personally not a fan of Lady Stoneheart, but they haven't done much with her yet. If one likes Brienne, they may not care for Stoneheart much. Battles do not last long in most books and ASOIAF is no different. So it probably will be the equivalent of one episode

Children of the Forest were all killed. Everytime Bran's eyes went blank he was warging. I think they literally showed that every single time. You are such a party pooper. My version of events is better - especially since if he had been ordering up Starbucks it would have been a hell of a lot more useful than what he was really doing - basically nothing. Everybody's re-imagining is better. Remember that there's always going to be a contingency that will hate it since you can;lt please everyone. However, it's still silly to say Bran did nothing.

With Season 7 it was obvious that they were playing the wrap it up game. "Wrap it up! Star Wars!!!"
But the thing I totally agree with 100% is that the Long Night battle should lasted the whole rest of the season from when it started, and it should have reached Kings Landing.
The Night King should have died in the throne room within reach of the Iron Throne. That would have been nice!
