not the worst movie but it has such under developed and stupid characters. what a shame with sucu Highly promising premise and a talented producer.
i feel like a lot must have been edited out.
5.5/10 just slightly above average simply because Banks fi performance in the finale...
god was that kid annoying as hell too.
What did you think?
Ps - I rate Belco Experiment as an 8/10

I really liked it! I thought the script was tight and didn't get muddled down with a lot on unnecessary information. The pacing was good. I thought the kid actor was really good, and that's important because bad child acting pulls me out of the story (the kid in Captain Marvel, for instance). When the kid let his mother fall from the sky, my heart was in my throat. How horrifying to fall like that and know you will die when you hit the ground.

Catchy title it has. BrightBum.
Wait is that BrightBum or BrightBurn?
BrightBum creates more potentially interesting visual imagery.

I’m glad so many people agree. This really could have been something amazing!!! It really wasn’t that great honestly. It was like the prodigy in a lot of ways.

This movie just looks sadistic and negative AF.

In this age of comedies that are 2 hours long and action movies that are closer to 3 hours, it's nice to get a very good movie that kept it's storytelling tight. The acting was good all around, especially the kid. One story change I would've done was not included any of the scenes in the credits.

Yeah, Belko was a blast. Wasn't really intrigued by the trailers for this to be honest. It seemed like one of those "what if" movies that's heavily reliant on the gimmicky premise itself hooking you in.

Shame as general professional movie critic reviews and audience reviews seem to agree that the premise was wasted. I'll catch it on streaming.

I agree she is underrated. And I found the movie mostly entertaining. But didnt the stupidity of all the supporting characters annoy the hell out of you?

None of them were particularly likable.
The premise was quite good though.
Not awful, but not brilliant either.
Although I'd certainly be interested in a sequel, just to see how Brightburns character pans out.

Eh. I’ve seen worse. I can’t give you an example, but that was pretty tame to me honestly.

Still, nowhere near as bad as that John Wick 3 Kill (yes, the eye one). that one bothered me less because it seems quicker... this one was extra gross because how long it took her to get the glass out and the fact How she was doing it and How it was shown on the screen as pulling part of the eye out too. Yuck.
